Such a beautiful pass by young Trent!

With such a commanding lead, I found myself pondering who to take off to protect...Mane, Salah, Firmino, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Robertson...They're all important! Good problem to have.

So we're away first... just keep it close and I like our chances on what will surely be an insane European night at Anfield

Its not even fun for the boys anymore.

Hendo's crossing and passing has been sublime in the last week or so...

According to these B/R announcers, Liverpool have played poorly in both matches and Porto have played wonderfully.
Aggregate?
Liverpool 5, Porto 1

Annnnnnnnnnnd the unbeatable Quadruple winners go down at The Etihad.

No quad for them... now let's deny them the fricking league... come on boys

So to reiterate, Liverpool played "poorly" over two legs and advanced 6-1?

So glad I don't have to watch the B/R shitshow

Yep, they couldn't stop salivating about Porto's wonderful play and Liverpool's "nervy-ness".

The stream was rock-solid and the video was sharp.
But those announcers.

So are both the semi finals on TV so I don't have to deal with the paywall BS anymore?

Dude I was about to throw my computer and they KEPT going on on and on even after the aggregate was 4-1.
We scored 2 more and they still were like "Porto will be really disappointed to not go through".

Glad Klopp changed up the system in the second half
I had no problem with Origi starting, but we just looked way out of sync the first half
Our pressing was wayyyy off and we just looked like chickens running around with our heads cut off and they were overrunning us. Still though, while they had chances, they didn't really have great chances, so we were able to settle in and ultimately take control. But that pressing can't be that bad against Barca or we're in trouble at Camp Nou
So how about Hendo? Saw a stat that today only 2 players created 4 chances in the CL games. KDB and Hendo (after only 19 or so minutes). He's looking like a completely different player. Yes I know he was an 8 before switching to the 6, but he wasn't this good when he played the 8 before. He looks much more rejuvenated and decisive in his runs and passes adding a little bit more creativity

In his last season as an #8 he had 8 goals and 14 assists in all comps... then he had the heel injury and was moved to the #6...
That heel injury really derailed his good progress... He was never going to be a world beater, but he was a very good player...

Must just be recency bias then
I remember him more for his pressing and ball winning even then

13/14 and 14/15 he was really good in that role and was one of the first names on the team sheet for England too...
As much as I like Hendo, I would still love to bring in a starting quality 8/10... He could get plenty of time rotating in.
Anyway, glad we turned it on in the 2nd half... That pass from TAA to Salah was

quote:You say that, but with the way he's playing right now, he's pretty much the exact type of player we need to play next to Fabinho, with another more creative type player to finish off the trio in midfield (Ox or Naby?)

This is the same reason why the Gini and Fabinho partnership was working so great early on. Fab is great in breaking up play, but let's be honest, he's not always the most fleet of foot and needs an engine next to him to help cover ground in midfield.
