Woah, let's not over react... Of course we could lose this game... Just because it's a must win for City, doesn't mean it's a can't lose for us.
We're still top of the table

Sturridge magic is coming. I can feel it

never mind. This is over. They're all out of sorts

Huge difference between being up 7 or 10 on City and being up 4.
The line up we went with is Klopp being scared.
Just completely pathetic. At least when we used that line up last year, it was because we had no other option.

Man, I get enough pessimism being an LSU fan, can we cut that out, we literally just lost our first game in damn near a year in the league... Can we not act like the title race is over
Posted on 1/3/19 at 3:55 pm to pvilleguru
disappointing loss... but it was a close match... you would think we were just run off the pitch by a few reactions but thats far from the case..

They cleared at least 3 balls off the line... Like frick, some are acting like we're now 4 back of the top of the table

It could have gone either way... it went their way.. It's City away... Klopp was never gonna play wide open and I dont blame him..
Lets see how we responding the coming weeks, we have a 4 point lead and have already played them home and away..

that's true, but they dictated most of that match. They had some shite finishing too. Silva queefed an effort inside the 6 yard box, Aguero tried to round Alisson with a free runner beside him, Sterling couldn't finish Lovren's second beautiful assist to him.
Henderson and Milner were completely nonexistent. We actually outpossessed them in that game and we were getting owned there prior to Fab coming on. Our pass accuracy was 78%, that was the problem. We could do absolutely nothing to break their press and struggled the whole match setting up in their third because our midfield couldn't even get the ball up top. Hopefully an eye opener for Klopp that we need more technical ability in the midfield against teams like this. We won't see that in the league again, but if we get past Bayern we will see it again.
Thank God we get Chelsea and Spurs at Anfield. They get them both at home too, unfortunately.

Obviously the wild card is how champions league plays out but we’ve got pretty favorable schedule remaining
Home vs Spurs and Chelsea, away to United and Everton
The deciding factor is gonna end up being if we can continue to get 3 points against teams in the bottom half. We can’t have a stretch like City just had against Palace and Leicester

and Mane missed two chances and Mo, as well...
I agree though, I think we really need better production in midfield... but it was all over in this match... Shaq had quite a few misplaced passes
I think Fabinho has been coming on recently and I hope Keita does soon, as well.. We've been crying out for a playmaker that we currently dont have in the squad...
We're far from perfect, but I think they key is just beating the teams we should along that way... thats been our achilles in the past...

I honestly don't think we can afford another loss.
The cold hard truth is that we're down to 2 centerbacks, and more injuries are sure to come. The draws will come, but I think if we lose again then the title slips away. You just can't give a team like that an inch in the standings. They've been through this before
I know we've been on fire all year..but I have a bad feeling in my gut after this one and it isn't the chorizo tacos I had for lunch

Does anyone remember the month of December 2018? I realize it was a long time ago. We’re capable of dusting ourselves off and getting on with it.
When you get nervous, just turn around and look at Virgil.

3 weeks ago I would’ve 100% agreed with you
I’m still struggling to figure out how City lost to Palace and Leicester
whatever it was...I hope it can happen a couple more times
Matip will be back in a few weeks thankfully so we don’t have to keep relying on Lovren every single game. I wanna say Gomez initial diagnosis had him returning in late January as well but don’t quote me on that

I still have no idea how he leaves Fab off the XI. That selection is almost inexcusable for THIS match. Fab and a Gini should be automatic for big matches and I would like to see Keita get a shot. I like Hendo and Millie but not for a big 6.

Thats what Im saying.. How we respond is huge.. I think we bounce back..
Posted on 1/3/19 at 4:17 pm to Riseupfromtherubble
Whelp, it’s very apparent Fab and Shaq need a starting spot in this lineup. Hendo and Milner, IMO, were the X factor causing them to dominate the midfield. Still at the top of the table and sterling is still goalless vs LFC.
