Shaqiri had a very good season last season... he was just in a shite team..

Anyone else watching the preseason match against Bury? uneventful so far...
0-0 in the 15th minute..
0-0 in the 15th minute..

So Marcus Rashford at age 20 and Loftus-Cheek at 22 can get repeated run-outs on the World Cup pitch, but 19-yr old Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has more UEFA Champions League appearances and starts than Rashford and Loftus-Cheek combined, still gets to sit and watch.
Even for a meaningless 3rd/4th place match.
Even after the shite play of Kyle Walker (who has *less* UEFA Champions League appearances and starts than TAA, by the way) for a couple of matches in a row now.
Gareth Southgate can eat a bag of dicks.

To be fair, Walker has played as a CB all tournament.. Trippier has been the RWB and has been very good...
I assume he's starting today? If so, for a meaningless match, you'd thing TAA would get a run out..

I do not.

Not saying its right.
As a matter of fact, as fans of Liverpool its a pretty shitty thing to do.
But WHAT THE frick DOES KLOPP EXPECT???!?!?
This season, if he keeps Karius between the sticks, EVERY LITTLE HICCUP WILL BE BOOED AND JEERED.
If he doesn't understand that, he doesn't understand the underlying irrational nature of the rabid football fan.

Even 2-0 down with only minutes left, Southgate still won't give the teenager a damn minute, instead trotting on Alle.

From what I read, both Origi and Solanke were pretty much equally ineffective?

Nobody really did anything of note... We looked lively to start the 2nd half, but then that fizzled out quick..

So, there seems to be a growing consensus that we will get Fekir... Many suggesting a restructured deal to pay the feen installments over his contract.. Hopefully, we'll hear more on this week...
We'll shall see..
I'm now just hoping we pull the trigger on Alisson... frick it..
Beat Chelsea to the punch of Courtois goes to Madrid..

I'm not holding out hope for Alisson, but yeah agree on Fekir... We might get to see Ward a lot more this year

Fekir seems to be the worst kept secret in football at this point....everywhere you turn it’s like it is done already. If that is the case we all know what should come next but I am not convinced that JK can wrap his brain around paying what has to be paid these days for a true quality keeper. I have a bad feeling that we will be discussing this in great detail again in December.

Not really bummed about TAA not playing the 3rd place match.
He played in the first meaningless Belgium game and looked great.
Their setup didn't really favor him that much and as others have stated, Trippier was the best RB/RWB in the World Cup.

I mean it’s still a great experience for him just to be there with the team, practicing with players at a high level, so all good on that front. And anytime we have someone go on international duty and not get injured, I’m ok with it
Still interested to see how that spot shakes out with him and Clyne. I still say Clyne is probably the more defensively solid choice (should he regain form) but TAA did offer a lot with his long balls to Salah and with crosses that Clyne just doesn’t really have at that same level. Either way nice to have that spot covered

While I agree, we've also seen that Klopp is more than happy to wait it out if the exact right player isn't available (see Keita and VVD), if we don't sign a keeper, I have enough trust in Klopp to steer the ship with what we have until a suitable GK can be brought in

You are correct sir, for the record I became impatient and overreacted for both of those situations.

Yall think we can get anything for Mignolet? Don’t see how he sticks around for any longer, I’d probably ask for a transfer if I were him.
