I wonder if the deal is contingent upon us staying in the Champions League next season? Also, it would be great if they added a provision that essentially stated that if RBL crashes out in the Group Stages, Keita could join Liverpool in January. He'd obviously be cup tied, but would prove a fantastic addition to our trying to push for the EPL title.

Also, anyone else think this means that Emre Can won't re-up with us?

Also, if Lemar comes in, are we more likely to ship Coutinho to Barca this window if they meet our valuation?

Was wondering the same - that may be dependent upon the personal contract side with Naby though.

I worry about Emre. He was immense yesterday. And to me has the most potential of any of our midfielders (sans Cou who plays a different role) and is actually showing signs of reaching that potential. I have a feeling we wasted too much time mid year last season on money, playing time, etc. ,and now Juve has turned his head. I think we still have time to turn him back to us, but adding Naby etc. and his concern about plaything time means its less likely. Unless we're dropping Hendo?

I have a hard time seeing us in for Lemar unless Cou is going. Could be wrong, but I just don't see it.

Lemar is more like Ox... can cover the wings and as an advanced CM...

Makes a lot more sense with s having to wait on Keita...

I said in the game thread yesterday, but Can would be dangerously close to getting sent to the U23s for me... In Jan, if he hasn't signed and if he signs any kinda pre-contract with Juve, he is done and so is his WC... All that said, I think (hope) he re-ups eventually...

Depends on a lot of variables, obviously...

Either that or just try to sell him to Juve in Jan and look to bring in someone else.. But yeah, if he signs a pre contract in Jan and looks to leave on a free and they want to just wait until summer... I'd leave him in the reserves..

Thats assuming Coutinho, Lallana and maybe a Lemar/Ox are options by then..

Hopefully it won't come down to that, but he can frick off if it does...

Im getting way ahead of myself... and I don't know the particulars but I hate that leaving for free shite... I don't know what we've offered and what he wants...

I obviously want to keep him and think he can be a very good player for a long time, but I think he can be replaced...

I'm just aggravated really... my tune may change later.. we'll see..
