Yeah, and he's been injured for a lot of it, so he's had to relearn parts.

I'm more concerned that he's not a good fit for it - it takes away what was one of his strengths (pre-heel injury), which was running around and closing things down without worrying about what was behind him. Now when he does that it leaves us more exposed than Lindsey Vonn at the moment.

His passing is decent enough (usually) for me - he sprays the ball across the field, switches field often, etc. He mainly just isn't capable of hitting through balls, but with a Cou in the midfield that's not as necessary. But even the passing has let him down a lot recently. I don't always buy into the "he only passes backwards" crowd because he does exactly what the role specifies him to do (recycle, switch fields, etc.), other than the through balls.

Moreno is starting

Moreno in the 11 is laughable at this point. I'm almost to the point of sitting Lovren as well

You can't compete in CL with that bench.

Klopp prefers a 4-3-3 and we have two wingers. Said he wouldn't pursue Draxler because he didn't view strengthening that area as a priority.

So I think that's pretty negligent?
