Coutinho will start in the middle for them in most league matches this season (if he moves in January) and is Iniesta’s heir. He will play plenty, Iniesta needs all the rest he can get at this point. Also, if Liverpool advance in the UCL and Barca do as well then this move weakens a possible opponent.
Doesn’t hurt having the chance to play with Messi either. It isn’t like in the future years Coutinho’s ability to help them win trophies is non-existent just because he is cup tied for one five-month period.
One thing that sucks for you lot is that any replacement you are going to get gouged for. Mahrez likely won’t cost less than £60 mil and Lemar almost went for £90 mil last summer.

Did you not read the first half of the post about Coutinho probably jumping into the starting 11 right away or did you just ignore it?

Believing the “smoke with fire” saying it appears we are targeting Ceballos and Allison this month with Lemar and another CB in the Summer. I just wish we could keep Cou until July but it looks like he is being a little bitch. Reddy is reporting that FSG are leaving it to Klopp and that he is ready to launch his arse now instead of pushing the July issue. I don’t think we have a chance at Goretzka or Draxler (just my feeling).

Me too, and I would love Ceballos as a playmaker along with Lemar. Especially considering both of these players are dying to get to Anfield and play for Klopp.

That being the case, I think we might see Ox-Solanke-Firmino up front with a mid-field of Lallana-Can-Milner (or Gini). With Phil “injured” and Salah/Mane returning from travels, I think they move Ox forward.
