I know Fekir can also play from the front-line, but I'm hoping we'll add further depth and competition there too. If Lemar's price isn't 90M anymore and can be negotiated to something more reasonable, I'd still be 100% in favor of bringing him under Klopp's wing.

Would also be awesome IMO to bring in one or more of the highly-rated Championship youngsters, Sessegnon, Neves, and/or Maddison.

Hell, can we pry Zaha away from CP? I think he'd fit.

Also I agree that I'd like to see us get another top CB, but Klopp ain't gonna get one if one he highly rates ain't available, we already know how he feels about that. He'll be perfectly happy to fly with VVD, Lovren, Matip, Klavan, and Gomez IMO unless there is a clear and available upgrade.

And I agree that the only reason we should pay big money for a GK is if we have a clear opportunity to step up to "world class". If Butland could be gotten for 30M tops (or less)? Sure, buy him and let he and Karius compete. But with the money being rumored around Butland right now, I'll take a hard pass. Go find another competent GK with a reasonable price to play backup/competition to Karius.

When it comes to GK in this window, go Oblak/Allison/Donnarumma or go home.

Those are the three GK's that we should see about spending big. The Butland price tag, if the rumors are true, is ridiculous.

I agree with pville...

He is still my favorite LFC player (past or present)... Though I'm not sure how accepting he'd be of a reduced role... and he'll be 32 this coming season...

My heart says yes! but my head says to leave that in the past and build with younger players...

Biggest underdog since Istanbul. Gonna make it even sweeter when Liverpool pull it off.

I mean I understand we’re underdogs and we should be, and I’m fine with that. I’m not really expecting us to win, just enjoying the ride. We’re playing with house money.

And Klopp was asked a question basically about this in his press conference this morning and he gave a great answer. It was something along the lines of yes they have the advantage in experience, that’s a fact. And while it’s important to have, it’s not the only important thing to have. And we might not have the same experience in these types of finals, we have our own experiences in tough situations and fighting adversity so that can’t be discounted either.

Any you baws from Birmingham and know of a good place to watch it? I’ve never ventured out of the living room or a friend house to watch games but certainly interested in a meet up if there is anybody around.

I had daves in the back of my head as a potential. I know Black Market does hockey stuff regularly so maybe they’ll throw the champions league final.

I think most believe he was better at the commercial side of the club, than the football side..

He got a hard time for his perceived inability to close deals and "monitoring" players.. but I think we just weren't as attractive a destination as most thought..

To be fair, he did better towards the end of his tenure getting some deals done. I feel like Firmino was a big one of his. But you’re definitely right, he was much more successful taking care of the commercial side and locking up sponsorships and all of that than transfer deals it seemed
