On to Kiev. The improvement under Klopp has been incredible....without a net spend of anything!!! He is building a 21st Century club with the squad, youth group, Anfield and Kirkby. Good times ahead gentlemen.

Only undefeated team at home in the Premier league

Third most clean sheets in the PL

Lowest goals allowed (38) since 09/10

First time we've qualified for CL in back to back seasons since 08/09 and 09/10

Solid year, and it can only get better

Post-match Goal Zone still pushing the "Liverpool's horrible defending" meme as if nothing has changed.

wish someone would have pointed her toward the goal, and if the crowd would have erupted if she netted it, like dad, that would have been epic!

good for Salah... seems like a great, great class player on and off the pitch...

If you go on other threads on TD you can soak up the opinions of rival PL supporters. We are “happy to be here” and will get ABSOLUTELY RUN OVER IN THE MIDFIELD by RM. It is much like how we had no shot at City but beat the absolute shite out of them over two legs. They remind me of that piece of shite Lalas who claims we are an outlier but somehow cannot see what one of the Top 5 managers in the world is building at our club. When we scorch Madrid I am going to be giving them the business all summer. I think we are a year or two away from being our strongest with what appears to be the time line Klopp is working with while being fiscally responsible. For people like Lalas who claim that if you don’t spend a small fortune every year than you don’t count year in and year out I cannot wait to call them out in the next few years. This is only the beginning, I feel we have the perfect manager with the right owners (fingers crossed) at the perfect club to be a domestic and European force without irresponsibly just throwing money around but being smart while spending. If you haven’t noticed I fricking hate Alexi Lalas and his type of ignorant American (just here it more here) who believes only money can buy championships.

Would any of you fellas have put a cash bet or ban bet on the word "fortress" being used to describe anything about this team this year, obviously not including the stadium/fans?

Also, give Klopp credit for his decisions in the market.. I think we were all disappointed at the end of the summer, though we eventually got our guys in VVD and Keita... At the end of January, we couldn't believe he didnt replace Coutinho with all that £££... but the player(s) he wanted weren't available...

In the end, we have qualified for UCL again and are playing in the UCL final... No matter the outcome in Kiev, this has been a very good season and a step forward, though at times frustrating..

We may be crossing the finish line on bald tires and leaking oil, but we got there.. win or lose in a couple of weeks...

Here's to a great showing in Kiev followed up by a summer getting a few key starters and quality depth

edit: One last thing.. all that above wouldn't be possible if our owners, FSG, didnt believe in the manager... They seem to be committed to his vision and strategy to carry it out.. and they will accept minor setbacks in the short term to ultimately improve long term... they aren't perfect, but they are probably as close to that as we could hope IMO..

frick it, floor the accelerator and blow the engine at this point, as long as we're speeding across the finish line.

So I missed the match yesterday unfortunately, I was out on the river tubing for a friend's birthday... Just watched the highlights, was it really that dominant of a performance? From the highlights it looks like 4-0 was as close as it could have been and it was luck to not be 7 or 8
