What I don't understand is Jurgy's unwillingness to pick the only Germerican who seems to really want to play for the US - Boyd.

And also Chandler.

You don't Donovan is not a starter? We have a fricking blackhole on the left side. Plus, Donovan would excel as a second striker if we use the diamond.

Again, everyone is happy about capping Green. We also want the best chance of winning in 2014.

If he does start he isn't going 90.

Exactly. Bring Cakes instead of Davis, start him, and then when he tires bring on Green.

I'm just surprised there's nothing anti-MLS in the OP.

This right here is the problem with some of you message board nerds. Waste of talent? He's a rising star in the Bundesliga and going to the World Cup, where he will most likely get some minutes. What talent is being wasted?

And you call the guy a piece of shite because he was wishy washy on whether to play for a foreign country at a World Cup or wait for a possible call up from his native country. He was given an opportunity, and yeah, it took him a while to commit, but do you really think Jurgen would bring a "piece of shite" to Brazil?

Chandler

I've forgotten more Bundesliga than you have ever seen. Making a move to Frankfurt at 24 =/= rising star in the Bundesliga.

I didn't think Donovan was going to be a big player in this WC anyway. If it's 2010, then you take the 28 year old Donovan. However, it's 2014 and it isn't so cut and dry.

I don't understand this how this argument makes Brad Davis a better option than Donovan.

Just because he may not have been considered top talent on the team, doesn't mean he still couldn't help.

Nope.

He's also been a POS in Germany.

Yes, and he is.

More "smart" arguments from the Judas-lover.

Is this supposed to be an endorsement for Chandler?

Even more than your beloved Fabian Johnson? I can see you making this argument against Chandler, but c'mon.

Boyd really had no hope to play for Germany.

Thats debatable esp b/c he will eventually move back to the bundesliga but any call up would happen later on in his career. If he would have stayed at BVB who knows but he wanted first team action.

It's totally Germany's fault. He never played for any of their youth teams, unlike Fab, JAB and Julian.

I'm just saying...if he was to play for Germany, he would to have waited until right now or maybe even the next World Cup cycle before getting a call-up. I know Germany's striker pool sucks at the moment.

neither did Klose

but He was producing for Dortmund B team but just couldn't crack the first team which at the time was loaded up top and with attacking mids.

I don't blame him for moving to get first team football and he has produced.
