There is a decent chance that 3 of 4 Semifinal teams will be CONMEBOL

Brazil will have its hands full with Belgium, but if they get past them, I think they will face a South American team in the Semi's.

Also, Columbia seems to be getting it together, and if James can come back healthy I think they face Spain or Croatia in the Semi's.

I think they will be lucky to have one

France will despatch Argentina
I expect Belgium to Handle Brazil
England should beat Colombia - this is obviously the most likely team to get there

COLOMBIA my god this board needs a public service announcement. Sorry if it was autocorrect.

Brazil and Colombia have a good shot but I doubt it will be that many CONMEBOL teams.

It's possible. South American teams don't tend to fair as well in Europe, but i think you are being a little overly dismissive of them, or maybe just overly optimistic about 2 teams that beat up on the two worst teams (Panama,Tunisia) in the tournament.

If Uruguay wasn’t playing Portugal I would have them as a darkhouse semifinal team.
Argentina doesn’t stand a chance of getting anywhere close to the semis imo.
Brazil started slowly but they finished #1 in SA qualifying for a reason. Hexa incoming.
I could actually see Colombia making some noise, but I don’t think they’ll be able to make it that far. England is a strong team, but they’re England for a reason, so I can see Colombia dispatching them.

I actually think there will be four UEFA teams.

France vs Belgium
Croatia vs England

Posty. Your comment about England lacks courageous detail. "England being England". What?
Don't be a snob.
I haven't seen half these teams yet, Posty. I didnt see any Euro qualifiers.

I've seen.renaldo vs Spain. And he is wonderful..I'm going with Uruguay. No goals against muslera and Godin yet.

We shall see.

I think England-Colombia is a really close matchup. Colombia has technique and pace, and they can pass well. They can match the physical side of the game well too. I think Quintero will be key. His passing between the lines has been good.

Argentina and Brazil have both crawled through two very poor groups.

For all their big names Argentina aren’t particularly exciting going forward, they all slip into the watch Messi routine which is frankly a it embarrassing for the quality of some of their players. I would however feel confident about Mbappe and Griezmann vs their defence.

Brazil have won their group but needed injury time to beat Costa Rica and drew with the Swiss thanks to a Coutinho worldie, not exactly awe inspiring.

If anything having those two team as favourites would be based on looking at their front lines on FIFA not about how they’ve played.

I think it’s safe to assume Colombia will be without James after he limped off again which is a blow to them, I don’t expect Carlos Sanchez to win the midfield battle.

Colombia has the homefield advantage - gonna be like 80/20 crowd based on what we've seen so far.

Fidna be a party while England shrinks under the pressure of the moment:

England has choked in every major tournament since 66. As much as I enjoy the “it’s coming home” memes, it is, in fact, not coming home.
