Quality 1st 15 minutes by Chelsea centered around a quality goal. Lots of pressing play trying to take advantage of a better midfield.

Arsenal then goes route 1 bypassing the middle. Chelsea back line is exposed as shite (yet again) leading to the pen. Dave gets hurt and the back line becomes even shittier. The Chelsea midfield sinks back to provide cover and Arsenal then controls the remainder of the half. Tamori should have been the sub imho as Chelsea gave Arsenal an advantage given their tactics (Christensen is not only bad, he is also slow).

After halftime, Chelsea need to bring on Kante for cover in front of the back line and also bring on Willian. Tammy can come on late for a change of pace.

Just my .02

I think the pull back was a foul, what happened in the box was very very soft. Don’t see how that’s a hard concept

If they called it a DOGSO and a penalty, it likely still would have been a red card.

That's not how it works anymore.

IFAB has eliminated the "triple punishment"(penalty, red card, likely goal) inside the area unless the foul is such that the offending player makes no attempt to play the ball. So in this case, the original contact made outside the area (if called) is DOGSO and a red. That same contact is now a foul and a penalty (and a yellow if the referee deems it worthy).

Basically, there is no DOGSO in the penalty area unless the defender makes zero attempt to play the ball.

Yes it is.

Grabbing someone's shoulder isn't making a play on the ball. That would still be a red card, even if it leads to a penalty.

Ref just told the managers the exact opposite lol

That he did make a play on the ball and if the foul didn’t continue to the box it would have been a red
