just did the simulator and wound up in group A with

Brazil
Burkina Faso
England

i think we would be able to squeak through the group. Just simulated the group and we won it with 7 points.

Brazil would probably beat us and finish with 9 points. We would beat Faso and it is pretty equal with England. It would go down to GD on that one.

The guys on ESPNFC would all have heart attacks.

Does anyone else hate that show? It feels like I'm stuck in 1998 when I hear all of their condescending tones about the state of US Soccer.

I've started watching it more frequently and like it

I can see how Craig Burley could annoy the shite out of some people, though

Tommy Smyth should move to another network

I feel like ESPN took a shite on my childhood by relinquishing some of their television rights and depriving me of Tommy Smyth

They had a dude Friday who hadn't watched the US play a game in while other than the Scotland game he was tied into the studio to watch, and yet he still wanted to give an opinion as to the state of the US national team - that we're average?

WTF?

I would be a lot more worried about Walcott against Beasley.

Because only beating San Marino and Moldova away from home in qualifiers is fricking brilliant.

Yeah, that was what I meant by the 1998 time warp. Awful segment.

As much as I love DS with Liverpool, England is a shell of what they once were and the energy of our midfield would overtake their's

We've also never lost a competitive game on the pitch under Hodgson

Get slated for not being Ukraine away...hows that 0-0 in a pressure situation look now?
Dominating Poland in a must win
And destroying Montenegro

We've been impressive when it matters, and a fully fit front 4 of Rooney, Sturridge, Walcott and Townsend/Oxlade Chamberlain would put you to the sword

As for the midfield comment, its why I don't want Gerrard starting for England, should be Carrick and Wilshere for me.

I´m curious. What competitive matches of merit, have been won under Hodgson. Don´t get me wrong, I´m not flaming, I´m perplexed with beating the likes of Poland, Montegro talk.

The co hosts Ukraine in the Euros, drawing with Italy after 120 minutes isn't a win, but its a legit result.
The only other competitive results to take anything away from is WC qualifiers and to me
Beating and dominanting Poland in a must win is a v. good result...not just the result but we also played the best football england have played in a long time in the last 2 games.

England aren't WC winners, but we get so much hate for any negative result that it takes away from how good we have been at times. Pretty sure I'm right in saying that we scored the 3rd most goals in Euro qualifying and conceded the least amount of goals.

I only really pay attention to competitive games cos friendlies don't mean alot, but if you were including them then we have beat Brazil

Sorry but Hodgson is one of the least frightening managers in International competition
