Number 1s got to be the one that qualified us for the 1990 World Cup.

Undoubtedly. I'm sure Landon's is #2 if it's not already on the list.
I also read the article on Benny Feilhaber. Great article, but made me sad he wasn't given a look during this cycle.

There is no doubt Caiguri's goal is the most important. If we dont get to Italy, WC 94 would have been a disaster. We would have been beaten like drums and I doubt MLS starts up

Thank you for posting this. As someone who really got into soccer in 2009 I am still learning quite a bit and this was a great read. And now I am going watch the world reaction videos to Landons goal.

The Confed Cup game against Spain was pretty big but there wasn't an important goal in that one.
The goals on the list seem like ones that really carried a lot of weight with him. Beating Spain was nice and all but we've beaten good teams before and after that (i.e. Brazil and Italy).

Here is the video of the Caliguiri goal. I was surprised not to see Wynalda's goal from WC '94 since it put us through.

Sure, but IMO that Spain team was the best overall team the US has beaten in my lifetime in a competitive environment on foreign soil. Italy was a friendly vs their non-full strength side.
Beat yeah, I guess since there wasn't really a singular moment in that game to really stands out.

It's a shame that Michael Bradley got a BS red card at the end of that Spain match because the ref hated America. Imagine if he had been able to play for us.

I'm disappointed the one about Earnie Stewart's goal didn't make any mention of the greatest almost goal ever: Balboa's bicycle kick.

I would LOVE to Jozy recreate that goal from 2009, putting a great Capdevila onto his back and still being able to turn and bury the goal. That's what is so frustrating about his lack of form, right now.
