Nobody had any idea what happened during 9/11? It's well documented.

He was 20 years old got drunk and naked and swore possibly at some Americans? The horror.

And remember that the Ferdinand thing wasn't Terry's first racism run-in.

The Ferdinand thing isn't even a race run-in. It's a complete joke.

Yep, he was completely innocent. All of it was made-up. He was targeted by the FA.

Am I doing it right?

Here's a review of Terry's troubles:

Fined two weeks wages for drunkenly mocking American tourists in Heathrow Airport in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Charged with assault and affray after a confrontation with a nightclub bouncer in January 2002, Terry was suspended from England duty and subsequently missed out on the 2002 World Cup. He was later cleared of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, unlawful wounding, possessing a bottle as an offensive weapon and affray.

In February 2002 Terry was caught on CCTV urinating into a beer glass and dropping it on the floor of an Essex nightclub.

Fined £60 for parking his Bentley in a disabled bay.

In 2004, Terry was reported to have gambled up to £40,000 a week on horse and dog racing with Wayne Bridge and Scott Parker.

Sent off against Tottenham in November 2006 at White Hart Lane, and accused of racially abusing Ledley King. Questioned the integrity of referee Graham Poll, and was later fined £10,000 for inappropriate conduct.

Before marrying Toni Poole in 2007, admitted to cheating on his partner up to eight times. Jenny Barker, 17, claims that Terry cheated on Poole with her in a public car park.

Investigated by Chelsea and the FA for reportedly accepting a £10,000 bribe to show a reporter around the London club’s training ground without permission in 2009.

In January 2010 Terry was alleged to have had a four-month affair with Wayne Bridge’s girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel. Bridge was deemed as one of Terry’s best friends, and Perroncel was the mother of the left back’s child. Fabio Capello stripped Terry of the England captaincy due to the scandal, handing it to Rio Ferdinand.

Accused of racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand in a 1-0 defeat for Chelsea at Loftus Road in October 2011. Investigated by the FA and police, Terry will stand trial in July 2012. Stripped of his country’s captaincy for the second time.

TL;DR: Terry is a model human being in addition to being the best defender on the planet.

Cleared.

He's rich and it's not illegal to bet on sports, so not sure how this is even listed as a "trouble".

Don't know what happened here so won't comment. However, the race thing is obviously bs because if there was anything to it everyone would know about it.

Again, admittedly poor form on his part. Shouldn't have gotten married.

Even if this was a big deal he was cleared.

A pretty widely acknowledged joke of an incident even by the majority of Terry haters.

I'm not proclaiming them all to be the Gospel. It's just a pretty big rap sheet.

Again, anyone with any sense can see why people don't like the guy. I don't respect players who are epic drunk adulterer racist d-bags.

The mere fact that your club loyalty overrides your morality and common sense in choosing whether or not to defend terry tells me all I would ever need to know about you as a person.

Captains rights?

In medieval France during feudalism they had what was called "le droit du seigneur," or the Lord's Right. Basically it meant that when it was announced that two people were getting married, if you were a lord it was your right to bone her first before the marriage.

I would be pissed if I was the husband.

The fact you can make sweeping judgements about multiple people you have never met tells me a lot about you as well.

That and the fact you cried for nearly a week about unfair it was Chelsea gets to be in the CL next year as the defending champions.

Why don't you just say you hate Chelsea and their fans are always wrong. We pull for our club against MLS team and we are unamerican assholes and should be deported. We support our captain, and we have shitty morals and we all suck at life. Who the frick cares, he's paid to play football not sainthood. Although to Chelsea fans, he may be a saint.

If Chelsea fans would just admit that Terry is a trashy s.o.b. then yall wouldn't get so much shite. He was a great cb and still is a very good one. He is a great Captain on the field but fails miserably to act like one off the field. That is pretty much the bottom line.

I don't see anything wrong supporting your club, if they are foreign, against an MLS team. Not everyone is an MLS fan. So get over it. If it were Arsenal v Houston Dynamo I would surely be supporting the Gunners.

I don't care what he's like off the field. If we only liked morally perfect people in sports, we would have very few athletes to enjoy and pull for. Jumbo just has a hard on for Chelsea. Savage is nuts but that guy may be Arsenal's version.

Chelsea winning the CL really did a number on him.
