Ok, so it looks like we'll see something different here with the inclusion of Chandler and Cameron probably moving to CB. What do you think the starting back line will look like?

Also does Beasley keep starting or will Fabian Johnson move into that slot?

All signs point to Gonzo being out as the starting CB. The inclusion of more fullbacks to allow Cameron to slide in and also Brad Evans saying he worked exclusively at CB during camp (WTF?!?!)

So to me your 3 of the 4 backline are Besler, Cameron and Chandler. If fab plays LM you could have Beasley or Yedlin at LB or gonzo at CB and Cameron plays RB and Chandler and LB. Our best back 4 are chandler, Cameron, Besler and Fab but that leaves the mystery of who plays LM.

I'd rather have our best back line and worry about lm.

I have a feeling that we will be starting Bedoya on the left if Fab is LB.

I do not understand Jurgen. Why was Evans not being groomed for RB? A position that I thought he played decently in his appearances there (against lesser competition).

If I'm Brad Evans I'm pissed.

He's been exclusively playing right back – a position that he doesn't regularly play – for the USMNT ever since he came into the fold only to get switched to a centerback in a camp which is essentially a tryout for the biggest sporting event on earth.

It just seems like JK tied both of Evans' hands behind his back and pushed him into the Pacific Ocean to see if he could swim.

It also has me concerned that JK really tried out an outside midfielder as a centerback.

Let's be honest: Evans was never going to make the WC roster.

I agree, but still, he got shafted pretty hard.

A back line including two Bundesliga starters, one EPL starter, and the best CB in MLS is way better than what we thought we would have. Could easily end up being the strength of the team.

I think I wanted Evans in the 18. I really liked him and preferred him over Parkhurst. The only options I had over at RB are Cameron (likely CB) and Chandler. Evans was the backup RB for me, and he is very versatile, so he makes a decent sub for most positions.

It was either Evans or Yedlin. As the 2nd (3rd?) RB, neither is likely to play, so I don't mind bringing youth.

Evans talks about getting cut

Apparently Fabian has been playing exclusively at RB in this camp. Kind of interesting. I guess we'll rely on him to try to deal with CRon.

The FJ at right back thing perplexes me, can chandler play LB?

Fair enough. I don't remember FJ playing RB for us in the past, am I mistaken in that.

I don't think you are. He played mostly LB, sometimes LW. At his club team he's played mostly at RB this season, but he says he sees himself mostly as an RW.

I think he played RB for us in the Mexico dos-a-cero match. But got injured and was subbed off for Bedoya.

Scares me, b/c I could see Jurgy relying on Beasley at LB if Fabs plays RB. But no way he wastes either Chandler or Cameron, I hope.
