It's not. It's a great location. It has a rabid soccer community and lots of immigrants too. The major problem has been finding a group to financially back the idea. I have always thought Anheuser Busch should have funded it since that's where they are based.

St. Louis could sign Messi and he still wouldn't be as popular as Tarasenko

I could see one of their 1st buys being a Bosnian, and then a Mexican player.
Add in a vet who played locally, and u have a good draw for everyone who is in town.

Vedad Ibisevic fits that bill. Bosnian that played college at SLU.

St. Louis has an amazing soccer culture. The city sucks but the year I lived there I played pick up games three to four times a week.

Garber said 28.
I assume that Sacramento and San Antonio are locked in as 25 and 26. If St. Louis is 27 then Indianapolis, Louisville, Charlotte, San Diego, and Las Vegas will fight it out for 28.

Las Vegas wins imo, although I'm sure Indy has a decent shot.

Indy has a great fan base and ownership group but the state government has been dragging its heels on stadium support.
Love the Indy crest:
