Spain are significant favorites, and over the last 40 years, the favorite has almost always won the final, with 1998 being the lone exception. They’ve conceded just 3 goals in their last 13 competitive matches. Argentina keep finding ways to win, but they’ll have to play much better than they have in their first seven matches if they’re going to win.

I think they will. These guys are nuts and proved they’ll do anything to win. It won’t be pretty.
Interesting enough, Scaloni completed his coaching license in Spain under de la Fuente. You know Saloni is doing his homework to best his old mentor who traditionally sticks to the same Spanish identity of play, whereas Scaloni is known often for changing lineups/tactics and adjusting formations game to game.

Said Spain from the beginning of the tourney... sticking to it.

I honestly didn’t see Argentina getting past the quarterfinals so hey I’m just happy to be here

I remember last WC when they lost to KSA, and only beat Australia 2-1, and took The Netherlands to pens in knockouts. Seemed like France was gonna crush Arg and then they didn’t.
As I said in a different thread, on paper Spain should win. They certainly look the part, but Arg is an enigma.

Whatever you do, don’t post this in the Gooners thread. Auburn-like cult won’t like it.

Yeah who knows how the English scum view Enzo right now. I know Spurs fans are mixed with “thanks, but good riddance” towards Romero. Haha
But we’re looking forward to Senesi

Yeah dude Senesi is a nice grab, but man I’m ready to see what Tonali will do.

Same. It’s weird because following Gallagher (since palace) Tanoli (since Milan), Fernandes (since Southampton) for a few years- I’ve said to myself it would be great to get those guys. And now we have them.
