And i counted more flops than shots on goal last night, weak shite.

I thought it was pretty exciting. USA picked up a point and stayed ahead of Mexico in the Hex standings. Don't see the problem here.

It was also in that complete shite hole of a stadium on 3 days rest. I'll take a tie with this squad.

The goal is to qualify for the WC.

So, tie > loss.

There's nothing more American than working to accomplish a goal.

People who understand the situation are excited about it.

To each his own.

Yes I will tell you to be excited. Still ahead of Mexico in the hex and they have to go to Colombus. Great result.

I'll be excited when we officially qualify for the world cup.

And if took a point from a draw to put us over the top, so be it.

Does finishing higher in the standings have any effect on our draw for the World Cup or is it totally random?

The goal is to qualify for the World Cup Final. In CONCACAF, the plan is to win your home games and steal points on the road. A draw on the road vs Mexico is a great result. Especially considering we have had a depleted roster due to injuries.

Context is a wonderful thing, but we live in the Twitter Age, where anything popular that is happening right now must be commented on by everyone...regardless if they know what's going on or not.

If you know anything about this rivalry and the Azteca, you would know that this point was huge for the USMNT. But when people flip on SportsCenter and it's led with a scoreless draw, they don't know how to react...but they must.

My only concern was the lack of offensive chances. That said, the USA was very lucky to come away with a point and I'm fine with that. Mexico could very easily have gotten a penalty late and losing that way would have been brutal. Also, this result really starts to put pressure on Mexico. Their match at Jamaica was moved up from June 18th to June 4th. This forces them to have to play 2 road matches in 3 days. (They also have to play at Panama on June 7th.)

Yet you still watched long enough to be able to make this comment. You can admit that you enjoyed it just a little bit.

There was nothing "exciting" about that game from a US perspective but in the end the result is good.

I tend to agree, I got blasted on reddit for saying I'd be satisfied with a draw not "overjoyed" like they're suggesting I should be.

I reserve feelings of ecstasy for wins thanks.
