I agree that they should have gone 5 man midfield. I just don't know what subs he could have made. Subbing Johannsson would have been a waste. Dempsey maybe deserved to come off, but I don't think that crossed his mind. They were already being eaten alive with their 3 CM on the field. Maybe Mix helps, but Besler's injury sub just limited his options too much.

Yeah. The only place they might have an advantage is with travel for US based players. Then again, I don't think any other team is traveling as much as they are in Brazil.
