Pulisic-Nagbe

These two have already shown to work together well, and could easily exchange roles on the fly since nagbe is fine playing centrally as well.

I like Nagbe but I am still trying to figure out how he best fits into the team

I mean, it was CONCACAF teams and we're mostly going to be playing CONCACAF teams. It just comes down to Pulisic being our most dynamic player, by far, and I want that player to have the ball at his feet the most and putting him in a central attacking role accomplishes that.

I see that point but I will just agree to disagree. I would rather have a high energy midfield pressing and creating turnovers to then get the ball out wide to him and let him do what he does best

see this is how i feel, and i think he's made comments in the past that this is how he views himself as well. but his speed & attacking down the sidelines has allowed him to see the field at such a young age, and with the level of football he's playing at i doubt there's much of a chance the big clubs would give him the opportunity to develop as a CM. i think he could be great in that spot, and in the long term better for the USMNT, but i think it might require him playing for a mid-level squad in germany or england that would allow him to develop there, and i just don't see that ever happening.

I'd love to hear how you describe the rest of our striker pool.

With Bobby Wood's struggles this season, there's honestly nobody even close to Jozy right now in our striker pool.

We REALLY need Josh Sargent to pan out. Our striker pool is currently thin, and injury-prone. I’m bullish on his future. He has a pretty complete skill set for an 18-year old. That first touch to intercept the Bolivia keeper’s pass was outstanding.

Yep. It's not even a debate. Jozy is far and away #1 right now.

All this hopeful talk for Sargeant and the debate over him playing for US before a competitive team match got me thinking, didn't Morris get called up while still in college?

I'm trying to remember if there was as much debate with him getting called up as Sargeant had before the game last night.

And also a little ironic Morris passed up Bremen because of his dog, and Sargeant took the offer and will probably pass him by in the pecking order.

Was there much debate on Sargent getting called in? This was actually his second camp, but first cap.

Morris had been on our radar ever since the 2014 squad scrimmaged Stanford to get ready for the World Cup. I believe he made his first camp not long after that and I think it was around the same time Miguel Ibarra came into the fold and we were all losing our minds because Jurgy called in a college kid and a USL player.
