Thanks! I meant to the Reddit thread referenced where an insider was hinting at stadium location.

River District would be an incredible place for a venue. Beers at Urban South then walk to the stadium.

Only problem is the traffic there would be horrendous.

Can the Riverfront streetcar line be extended to at least Mardi Grad Worls, if not the Market St area? Fairly quick and cheap connection to the foot of Canal/FQ/ferry landing if so.

Interesting idea. Probably. IIRC they wanted to expand the lines a few years ago, but it fell through. Although the streetcar is a pretty inefficient way of moving around. They are notoriously late to stops and are poorly spaced out.

My suggestion for team name:

NOLA GC (NOLA Gulf Coast)

name would represent the entire state/region, not just New Orleans and riffs off the "euro" style names.

True for everyday life, but they are game changing for Saints games. Think that would correlate well to these games assuming they have some pregame activities going on.

I hate the American penchant to throw stupid monikers on every team. I love the idea of just a simple classic name, like that.

That's actually very true, not sure why I didn't think of it in the context of game day.

Edit: Fort Worth is dumb. Just go watch FC Dallas.

Ummm they’re in Fort Worth. Besides some sport needs to be the first to give the Dallas area a second team

The DFW has a population of 8-9 million, which makes it the seventh largest metro area per wiki.

The issue with FC Dallas is that they’re in Frisco. If you live in Arlington or Fort Worth you’re looking at an hour drive. Plus it’s hot as shite here. The game yesterday started after 8. I went for a walk yesterday at 9 PM and it was 99 degrees out.

Good lord y'all took me way too seriously.

I just want Nola to have a team. IDGAF if Dalla/FW has 30 MLS/USL teams as long as it doesn't have an effect on us getting a team here.

New Orleans Louisiana Association of Football.

NOLA AF for short.

Excited for this. Hopefully it doesn’t cost a fortune to park to go to games so people with kids will actually go.

The USL Nola instaga page is really pushing the "Join our Krewe" line.

Having a feeling it'll be the Nola Krewe. Blah.
