They announced USL-1 expansion yesterday at 8:30 central, so maybe 8:30 central tomorrow. Not guaranteed to be NOLA expansion news but here’s to hoping.

From reading the USL subreddit, it seems NOLA is definitely happening just not sure when. Think they’re saying Baltimore and Fort Worth are two other expansions that could be announced.

There is an article in the newspaper this morning (can’t find link online sorry) that says the plan is to have a USL championship league team in New Orleans by 2025 and the preferred location is a newly built stadium in the proposed River District development. I could definitely see it working there.

Here’s the link to the homepage. Says 2025 will be their first season. Looks like the two guys starting it are well accomplished. If they take their time and do it right this could be awesome.
Also they call Nola the birthplace of soccer in the US? No idea what that’s about.

Pumped for this, and looks like it won't be half-assed. The 2025 projection sucks because it's 3 years away, but nice that it means they aren't rushing to put sub-par product out.
