Is Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem about to pledge his future to the U.S. national team? The Insider has learned Zelalem is close to becoming an American citizen, and by virtue, become eligible to represent the United States in international competition. Zelalem, who turned 17 in January, is believed to be in Washington with his father this weekend for naturalization purposes. By the time they return to London, both will likely be carrying U.S. passports.

We have the chance to be so fricking stacked in 2018 if Green and Zelalem progress like they are expected to. Bradley, Jozy, Bacon Fab, Besler are all going to be in their prime.

I think that's prime for both, albeit towards the end of it.

They'll probably both still be good but it's not prime age.

Agree to disagree, but I think Bradley's tactical mind extends his prime. He'll still roughly have the same athleticism in 4 years as he has now.

Same goes for Besler.

that could be our starting line up in Russia

Would Zusi be our RM? Will Brooks pass Besler? Will Packwood pass Gonzales?

Then we would have guys like Gil and Diskerud on the bench

not for soccer esp...but bradley doesn't exactly use his athleticism so that helps. jozy will probably suck by that age

Bradley will be playing for a while, i can see him playing 2 more WC and possibly a 5th, although unlikely.

If Jozy ends up being good, he'll be good when he's 27-30 years old.

Bradley's athleticism helps him a lot but he's a smart player. He'll play another world cup. Don't think he'll have 2 left as an every day player.
