Allegedly, they played Denis Cheryshev who should have been serving a suspension from last year's loan deal with Villarreal.
It honestly baffles me when managers make these kinds of mistakes.
Question, if he was on the bench and not used would they still be suspended? Or would have to actually play?
The opposing club said they will file a complaint, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Madrid called over and just paid them off to not.

I wonder if Spain handles this differently from UEFA. One of Arsenal's CL opponents had a guy banned for four years for doping. He played in our tie (which was a loss) and the result still stands.
