I'm very interested in how he'll do there.
On the one hand, he has not had the greatest resume since leaving Liverpool.
On the other hand, he hasn't always gotten a chance to do what he does. Its like the poeple who hire him are surprised he doesn't play this expressive brand of Soccer. He was a terrible fit for RM and Chelsea, yet the idiots in charge of those still hired him only to fire him pretty quickly.

biggest what the frick move in soccer in a while
RM was setting itself on fire with Mo when he wasn't playing "beautiful soccer" while setting scoring records
Ancelotti was seen as the savior, won the CL, and then had some injuries that required a slower pace and was sacked
then they hire Rafa?

wasn't that his downfall at 'pool?
it seems that he was amazing early on building that team and once it got success he fell off the face of the earth in the transfer market

Doesn't have the talent as those teams, interesting to see what he can do with a bottom dweller.
I think he's one of the most overrated Managers in a long time. Well get to see how good he is.
Also, let's not act like he's doing a Harry or Big Sam rescue, Newcastle are 1 point out of rescue, not 8-10 back, this late in season.

i don't want to see Newcastle go down, their fans don't deserve it, especially as loyal as they are, and what Ashley has put them through, but if Sam Stays up and he drops, the war of words will get a lot more exciting, especially with Jose gone, league has become boring, no troll managers.
Rafa is still living off 2005/2007 cup runs with Liverpool. he's the guy that found the 1 title, and continue to keep getting great gigs, even thought they shite can him within a few years.
