Mexico went into a defensive shell or The Dutch wilt.

The Penalty was a flop.

The first penalty was a turnover, and the ref was 25 yards behind.

The first guy stepped on his foot and NO REF can see that fron afar.

Thw second guy was irrelevant, Robben had lost the ball.

A European ref.
Lol

Who cares if it was a flop, makes up for the first no call

frick Mexico!!! What a monumental collapse, couldn't happen to a better group of disgusting human beings!!

It was a major embellishment but there was definite contact, also he was brought down in the box earlier and it was 100% a penalty

its a pk b/c a lazy stupid challenge and off course Robben is going to make the best of it.

He stomped his foot and ankle coming in late

You can make the point that it was a Robben special...but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't happy to see Marquez wear the goat horns.

Yeah everyone is missing the point. Even if it was a dive, its fricking Mexico. Doesn't matter how, just as long as they go home.

There's definitely contact as the gif shows. Marquez went in for a stupid foul. It was lazy. Why would you even try to stab at him? You know what he's going to do. Yet you do it anyway.

The fall was unnecessarily dramatic, but the guy did stick his leg out and make contact causing him to fall.

I'm not a soccer expert, but I would surmise that is a foul and the correct call.

What's worse is that there are four defenders in front of Robben and no options. Marquez could have watched as one of his mates cleared it.

Definite penalty.

I could not have dreamed of a loss so sweet.

Mexico leads going into the final minutes and probably deserves it. Sneijder buries with a beautiful lay off and rocket. Marquez costs them with a penalty in stoppage time. This is the second best defeat of Mexico ever.

Ruud said it best, it's still a foul, regardless of the reaction of Robben. He sells the contact
