Ericksen was a great signing. Gives Spurs the creativity they need. Spurs, Arsenal and City are clearly the 3 best teams right now.

I really do think that Eriksen, Lamela, Soldado, and Paulinho replace the whole that the loss of Bale created. Bale was one player at the end of the day, and the Tottenham Bales was a shitty joke that had plenty of truth behind it.

You can take one player out of a game. You can't take several.

I love Eriksen. I see so much potential everywhere though.

Paulinho is one of the most offensive defensive midfielders I've ever seen, and he does it without sacrificing defense.

I also think that Lamela and Soldado are going to make a fantastic pair. Lamela can create easy chances for Soldado, and Soldado is clinical in front of goal. He should have had one yesterday, but Marshall made a ridiculous save that you never see from a close shot with power.

I think Tottenham's looked mostly toothless in attack. Arsenal played through them quite easily at times, and Lloris was great in goal that game. They have looked better with Eriksen on the field, but against good teams, the high pressure system will be exposed by direct play. I'm not really impressed by barely bearing Cardiff, Swansea, and Crystal Palace, the latter two on penalty. They also have faced but one team that could actually make them pay for playing a high line, and they lost that game.

I'm waiting to see how Man City gels, and if Chelsea figures out a system for that group of players. But Tottenham will compete this year with the moves they've made.
