Call me old school, but I want players who have been under the big lights, not just who is "in form." My XI (4-2-3-1):

Pepi
Pulisic-Reyna-Weah
McKennie-Adams
ARob-Ream-Richards-Dest
Turner

Experience for the win!

Balo is one of the first names on the team sheet

Strikers - Balogun, Pepi, Wright

Mids - Pulisic, Tillman, McKennie, Adams, Tessman, Berhalter, Aaronsen, Weah, Zendejas, Reyna, Roldan

Def - Richards, Jedi, Dest, Ream, Trusty, McKenzie, Arfsten, Freeman, M. Robinson

GK - Freese, Turner, Schulte (?)

I don’t think Luna makes it. I hate that, though. I think Zendejas has a better shot than Luna to be named to the roster because our lacking wing depth.

It would go against Poch's callups.

Luna has been a mainstay, Zendejas has barely been called in.

What experience does Pepi have that puts him over Balo?

I don’t disagree your point at all. I just don’t know that Luna is good enough yet in the midfield unless he is solely a 10 and pressing.

Regardless, I really don’t know if we will make it past the first KO game we play at all. I suspect we may come in second in the group, maybe worse should Adams get injured.

Mostly that he has actually lived in the United States.

What does that have to do with how good he scores goals?

Aaronson just came off injured. Hopefully nothing long term but he was holding the back of his knee/leg

Wrap him in bubble wrap for the next month.

If he's out, we're going to allow 10+ goals in the group play.
