Arsenal dont spend jack for the most part but do an amazing job scouting and with their youth system. Man City and Chlesea do neither

let's be fair and remove arsenal from the discussion about man u, man city, and chelski

arsenal is on another level in terms of scouting/development from any team in major soccer

arsenal has their own tier

Being a Manchester City and Chelsea fan is like being a Packers and Patriots fan. That's ridiculous.

nonsequitur. my point was that united we successful before you started to follow them so city fans shouldn't be bashed.

Yeah, I'd love to bash City about their money practices, but let's face it: If some billionaire oil dude from the Middle East bought United from the Glazers and pumped more money into the team, I wouldn't stop being a United fan. The more I think about it, the more the "catch up" effect that SFP talks about makes sense. Although I think that a team should have a great youth system and not just buy established players.

And to the City and Chelsea fan...WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Bayern has an amazing youth system. As does Borussia Dortmund.

Yeah doesn't help that bayern decided to give BvB their center back for nothing.

But that's one of the things I like about the bundlesliga, random teams can always rise up because every team is so responsible and really uses their youth system.

people in gernal will point out fans who latch on to a team who's success goes hand in hand with outrages spending ie City,Chelsea,Barca,Madrid,Yankees,Sox,Cowboys blah blah blah

I need a full date (month, day, year...even hour and minute) of when you first became a City fan.

Put it on some fancy paper, have it notarized, sign it in blood, and send it my way.

It's why Germany is so far ahead of England at the international level. It's also why very few German teams are in financial trouble. This also gives teams the ability to buy players, since their youth system provides so much depth.
