Not a fan of either Manchester team but you HAD to love to roller coaster ride of emotions for both supporters.

Right up until the end I was sure that they'd need suicide crisis management at the Etihad.

Agreed...great scene. Pure joy...pure adulation. But I can't go for this club. It's the new example of what Chelsea did in 2004.

again, i'll just point out that manchester united buys plenty of players

are they slightly younger in most cases? yes

are these players highly sought? yes

what's going to happen when man city doesn't make huge purchases this offseason and sells off a few pieces?

Summer of 2009. Straight cash how long have u followed united. I bet it was since theyve won a title. How many billions have united spent winning their championships.

does United use their youth systems??? Yes

Do they splash on players? yes once in a while but don't spend the ungodly amount that City and Chelsea do and as often

since i was about 9 im now 27, i would rush home from school to watch them on tv during the champions league and when we got fox sports world when i was in HS thats how i spent my afternoon

I drove 5 hours to new york city to see them vs juve with no place to stay and only money for beer and something to eat at 19 and slept in a car in the medowlands parking lot im far from a bandwagon fan

No I'm asking if you've been a united fan since they have been successful and how much money united have spent to maintain their success. I wish I wouldn't act like united have managed to dominate by scraping by.

"catch up" effect

like i said i don't think they're going to make a big splash this offseason and likely unload swagotelli and dzeko

there is a difference b/w responsible spending and just throwing cash over and over at something. Man United and Liverpool do it responsible and always have pulled players from their successful academies maintain their success. Arsenal dont spend jack for the most part but do an amazing job scouting and with their youth system. Man City and Chlesea do neither
