That Barca pic is awesome.

Fenway, Wrigley and some of the downtown baseball stadiums are really the only good comparisons in the US that come to mind.

I guess there's a few DT football stadiums but Edward Jones is a complete dump and has parking lots, so does Lucas Oil.

Not quite the same, but I love the fact that the Superdome is right downtown. Would really be terrible if it moved to a rural setting as has been discussed on several occasions. Being downtown within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, FQ is what makes it noteworthy, IMHO.

Fully realize this is not the same as being in a neighborhood (although quite a few do live within walking distance).

At one time, MOST of the older MLB ball parks were like Fenway and Wrigley, tucked into their neighborhoods. Fenway's odd footprint is exactly because of this, they had to fit within their property and the streets surrounding the ball park. Wrigley is the same way. Cities are closing streets and all NOW, but back decades ago it was unthinkable. Ebbets Field, old Yankee Stadium, Tiger Stadium in Detroit, all of them, really. Most were placed close to public transit lines (and more than one) like in Detroit at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull. Wrigley was built with public transportation in mind.

It's only with "progress" that it changed, after the war, when more folks moved out to suburbs and bought cars. That's when cities built new stadia with acres of parking.

There's something walking across a huge parking lot to the ball park, but even better, walking through neighborhoods as has been mentioned. I'm sorry to see the old ball parks gone, just as I'm sorry to see these old football grounds gone, the reverence and fond memory is similar.

I'm glad Spurs are staying in the exact same location. Sadly, I don't think I'll get to London prior to the 2017-18 season (anticipated closure of WHL). But, when I do make it to London 1 day, at least the new place will still be in the middle of the community.

The good ol' Betzenberg. A damn shame they didn't promote when FoxSports is televising for the American market for 2015-2016 season. They are America's team in Germany, I don't care what anyone says.

Did Cagliari, Verona and Roma when I lived in Italy. I have seen towns shut down after a Juve win. Nothing I saw was "Much Better" than SEC Football as an event or spectacle. In fact I have never seen anything that touches The Grove period in sports.

Nothing like England or even Germany.

The English pre match experience is amazing and actually better than the match, unless your on an away day..

I went to one of the biggest party schools in the country with some of the best tailgating. Have done SEC tailgating. They are just to totally different experiences.

The English pre match at the right pub is a very intimate feel.

Of course as an Ole Miss fan you think the Grove is the best
