Wat.

Was this expected? This seems unexpected if true. Thought Juve would go with Sarri or Jose.

ETA: this is fake news Pep already responded saying he’s staying at city

multiple outlets in the last 12 hrs are claiming he's going, he has yet to respond since then. just gotta wait and see i guess.

personally, i'd be a little disappointed in him if he left after claiming he'd stay. the PL is a better league with him in it.

My mistake, he hasn’t responded directly to this latest claim, but he addressed it not too long ago.

LINK
quote:

"I don't understand why before they say it, they don't try to call the club, or me, or my agent or Juventus. "I have two more years and I am not going to move. It is impossible unless they sack me. "If Man City want me, I will stay for two more years and hopefully another one. I am not going to go to Juventus for the next two seasons."

Also, this latest claim was made by some no name Italian journalist. I’d bet he’s staying.

The guy who said CR7 to Juve weeks before it happened and everyone said was bullshite is the same one who said Pep to Juve would happen months ago

He joined City around the same time I started to follow soccer in earnest, but I don’t remember his reasons for leaving Bayern back then?

If he actually makes this move it would appear a pattern is starting to emerge. 4 years at Barcelona, 3 years at Bayern, 3 years at city. Domination at all of them. Of the 10 seasons he’s coached he’s won the league 8 times, and never finished worse than 3rd. So if this trend continues he will dominate Italy for a few years, and then next up would be PSG? DS just got wood.

Saw someone mention this on reddit. The only counterpoint is that he didn’t break contract at any of them. So could say there is a pattern that he honors his contracts and he just signed a 2 year extension...but money talks so who knows.

He said like five days ago it wasn’t happening lol.

If it did I’d believe it when it’s actually wrapped up like every other transfer

I'd like address the counter-rumor that Klopp is taking the Juve job. Deal should be done right after the CL final.

Probably. But he’s not going to leave city for less than what he’s getting. He’s not leaving.
