I’d argue that if we let him walk due to money it would be the biggest mistake in the club’s history, aside from helping United stay solvent like 100 years ago.

Probably. But he’s not going to leave city for less than what he’s getting. He’s not leaving.

I believe City have offered him $100m for 5 more years. No one is going to out bid City for Pep's services. If he leaves, it's because he's a nomad.

It's definitely not because of the support those beautiful blue seats create on match days.

I’ll never understand the stigma of not picking a popular club

I’m terms of a domestic and world wide fan base?

No

Probably only about 20% of greater Manchester supports City

Nobody likes City. I don’t know a single person, IRL who supports the club other than people I see at watch parties.

People make fun of City, but most of them support other big clubs like Pool or United. I find it funny that people who make fun of City fans and support those clubs can do so without realizing how retarded it is.

United is the most decorated club in England. Wow, so brave of you to choose to support them.

Liverpool has American owners and also were very competitive with United awhile back when soccer was growing here. Them and United are the two biggest fan bases here in the US and think it’s witty to make fun of City because of their fans.

IDK if I'd go that low but there isn't much doubt MU was better supported in the city. Seemed like the Media City, Eccles, and Salford areas were pretty heavy United.

We ran into a TON more City supporters on the eastern side of the city. Again, United were clearly the more supported club but it felt closer than 80/20.

Guess it depends where you live
Man City has their own bar here and I’m not talking just a bar they meet up at, the place legitimately has old shirts, pictures, signs all over (and I moved here before NYCFC was a club so it’s not due to that connection)

Maybe if I lived elsewhere it would be different because there are so many different fans of different clubs here and all their supporters groups.

But when you have your own bar, it’s a pretty big deal.
For example, there is a good contingent of Leeds, Leicester, Villa, Palace and even Bristol City fans here but they all go to one bar that is soccer specific

The bigger clubs have their own bar and it’s strictly the team.

I don’t make fun of Man City fans at all, and I’m actually for their ownership buying them and making them competitive I’m all for that.
Just for me I don’t see them as small anymore, but this just coming from
Someone in the best city in the country

Yeah that sounds badass

Our supporters group is led by a few guys from manchester. They’re also one of the better City podcasts as well (Noisy Neighbors).

Don’t get me wrong, we are supported well in Dallas and I don’t mind it at all, I just find it funny for fans of the most popular teams to laugh at another club for not being as popular 5000 miles away

The LSU bar is legends which is upstairs

Downstairs is the football factory
It’s not a specifically Leeds bar, it’s a soccer only bar where the Leeds fans go
If you have been you will see downstairs that it has literally every scarfs, shirt , flag etc you could imagine.
That is the bar I was talking about. I’ve been many times because as I’ve said I have no fan loyalty so I’d prefer to watch with everyone not just one fan base

On a Saturday one part of the bar is watching Bristol City-Ipswich, another is watching Leeds- Middlesbrough, another Leicester-Brighton.
Later in the day Atlético -Betis and Napoli-Roma

Sounds a lot like Trinity Hall here in Dallas.

I’ve been on a match day and seen four different matches going on and then a group watching rugby in the corner

We’ll thats where it’s opposite
The guy that owns the bar will only play football (soccer)
Actually if you ask him anything else he says no, and if there are no games left that he can find some kind of stream, the bar is closed
And he will wake up early if there is a noticeable game on.
For example and FA Cup game at 6:30, doors are open
