Pathway to buying face value tickets for USMNT in Russia 2018 World Cup

Is there any official way to get ducats to the WC and see USMNT opening round game/s in Russia? Would joining Sam's Army give you a decent shot to get the opportunity to purchase (almost like donating to TAF in hopes of getting LSU season tickets)?

Any advice appreciated - GF has family in Moscow who could help us out as well, but would rather have ducats in my name to sit with the greatest US sports fans there are.

TIA, mates

How does "tickets" get autocorrected to "ducats" not once, but twice?

No idea, but I would try every avenue available. Sam's Army (are they still around?), American Outlaws, US soccer, etc.

The WC in Russia wont be that well attended by visitors so tickets wont be hard to get.

Just apply through FIFA for US games in a few years. Super easy

If this is the same girl with the "friend" you've complained about on the OT, I wouldn't count on this as an option in 2018.

No idea if it's a shitty route or not, but I know the Outlaws offered a trip to Brazil with a chartered plane for something like $4-5K, which I thought was extremely reasonable.

I'd assume they'll do that again barring any other diplomatic setbacks between Russia and the US.

ETA: the Brazil package included lodging and transportation to the group stage games in Brazil. Just checked that package and tickets were not included......so I'm assuming they aren't that difficult to find.

I went with the Outlaws. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The travel company somewhat sucked and they had a lot of shitty delays for Plane 2 (Plane 1 which I was on never had delays and I had smooth sailing), but they have changed travel agents.

Like mentioned previously, you just apply through Fifa. It's super easy and the tickets really aren't very expensive.

I fully plan on doing the Outlaws thing again. You could do it a lot cheaper, but the headache would be A LOT greater.
