hendersonshands, work some magic and see if you can get TN Jed unbanned
Posted on 6/7/11 at 2:38 pm to TouchdownTN
Honestly, I'm not in the best graces with the admins. What did he do?
Posted on 6/7/11 at 2:39 pm to hendersonshands
called SEC baseball boring and talentless
Posted on 6/7/11 at 2:39 pm to TouchdownTN
Must have done more than that.. Who banned him?

They've also got Simeon Jackson, the striker from Norwich City. I only saw one Norwich game, but he scored the goal that got them promoted. I think he's expected to start. Small and quick, couldn't tell how good of a finisher he was cause he blew one easy opportunity and scored on the other, but he did have 13 goals for them.

I'm not sure if we have a forward that would start regularly for Norwich City
Posted on 6/7/11 at 2:47 pm to TouchdownTN
Probably not.
I like our midfield a lot, other than that

Actually, scratch that, Dempsey could start up top for them. Which I guess reopens the Dempsey as a striker argument. He is, after all, our best one.

Yep, but he's too valuable to our midfield to go up top.
If Chandler was willing to play we could have put him at RM, and moved Dempsey to forward.

Yeah, I don't want him up top either, at least not for full games. If he we move him up top we lose a ton of creativity in the midfield.
I do like our midfield but the backups to the wide positions are lacking. Especially when we get Holden back we're pretty stacked centrally (although he can play out wide too) but Bedoya, Klejstan, and Feilhaber are all pretty uninspiring. Rogers is beyond terrible.
I would definitely take Convey back at this point. Not to mention he can play left back too.

To be fair, I thought Kljestan looked MUCH better centrally than outside. His speed (or lack thereof) got exposed on the wing.
Bedoya has played all over the place, which indicates that Bob can't figure out where to play him to get the most out of him yet.

If everyone was healthy and available, I would absolutely love to see.
------------ Dempsey ---------------
Donovan------Holden--------Chandler--
---------Bradley--Jones-------------
Bocanegra---Ream---Goodson----Cherundolo
-------------Howard----------------
that's the type of line up we need for the
4-2-3-1 to be successful. Bradley and Jones would help cover the talented, yet inexperienced center halves.
Chandler and Cherundolo would absolutely work people up the right side of the field.

This x100, I was more impressed with him in the second half of the Spain game than I had been in quite a while.

A bad showing for this game warrants more of a meltdown than the Spain game.
We gots this game tho. 3-1 USA.
