I pray not. Most common fans can plainly see Rodgers is not the man for the job, and it makes little sense to keep him around any longer. I mean, what benefit is there to keeping him till December? Really? Best case scenario, we get our injured studs back, become more competitive, and hope to compete for a Europa bid? I think its time to tear of the band aid off and address the wound, rather than let it stay on and cause more damage. All of that is said with the assumption that FSG has their next man in the wing waiting to come on the spot as soon as possible. If Pool wants to be competitive next season, I say bring on Klopp or whomever ASAP so they can start working with this current group of players to see who fits in their scheme, and start building a cohesive chemistry on the pitch we are sooo lacking. Its sad to say it this early on, but I see this current campaign as a lost cause. The longer management waits to make a change, the worse its side effects will be. I do realize we are only 3 points out of Top 4 right now, but with what we have shown on the pitch, and the manner in which we have performed indicates we are a middle of the pack club without a real hope of contention. We are currently tied for 5th worst in goal differential and that has been steadily getting worse since the start of this season. FSG needs to look at the more successful sports franchise in Boston and learn from them, in particular the Pats stance on cutting talent... "Its always better to cut a man a year too early than a year too late."

I agree with you - I didn't say they should wait until then just that I believe they will - but if they didn't fire him after stoke and hired assistants and gave him that much money to play around with, they'll give him time. Plus look how patient the have been with the red sox.

So, how attached is Danny Ward to Liverpool?

Pool's biggest misstep of the last few years: Konoplianka

we triggered his release clause, but his club refused to sell... but not sure why didn't we go in for him, when he was free this summer..

Cause what would we do with another winger anyway? We have 4..we wait he's really an CAM, 3... err he wants to be sold...2... Wait we didn't buy him after being linked all window?
1. We have 1 winger and he's all of 19 years old and has done pretty much nothing of note all year.

Not Brendan's guy so we don't want him

What? You're forgetting Danny Ings.
He's a natural winger.

So per Reddit, our starting XI in the EL today will be:
Mignolet
Ibe- Gomez-Toure-Sakho-Moreno
Rossiter-Can
Lallana-Coutinho
Origi
I'm actually a little intrigued by it, should be interesting to see how it plays out... It's a really young side, not sure why they seem to not be taking the EL seriously

Rodgers is already giving up on Europe. Its pretty pathetic leaving all those players home.
I didn't want to post in here after thrashing you guys and give you all time time to cool down.
Nice to see most of you all finally agreeing with what lots of people have said about Rodgers from the start.
I see everyone is pretty much all on board for Klopp, but you guys need to realize if he comes then you will be starting from ground zero. Pretty much all of that 300 + million pounds BR has spent over the last 4 years will not cut it.
For one he will put your youth team kids to the test almost instantly. Then you will have to accept the fact he will start buying random 19-24 years olds from obscure teams and places and starting them over your big money stars if they are still there.
Benteke - Gone his work rate is not good enough and is not effective with out great service. Just look at how lazy arse Immobile worked out last year.
Capt count Henderson - Most likely gone. He gives away possession way to much and does not place the pin point passes needed for Klopp's style bc if the ball is not there from the midfield and goes to the other team (which Hendo tends to do) then it leaves the back four in trouble. It happened a lot with Dortmund last season.
Mignolet - Forget about he is deffff gone. He is not comfortable enough with the ball at his feet.
Sturridge - If healthy which is key could excel in his system but he will be having to bust his arse and he isn't built for the wear and tear.
Lallana - Would thrive in his system great pace and very technical could play multiple position
Can - with more time developing could fill multiple roles under.
Cou - Enough said could play the Kagawa type role
Anyone who plays the back four - no chance except Clyne
Ibe - would maybe fill a Reus type role but he needs to settle the frick down
Milner - Would be a stop gap at best maybe playing Gündogan role until Klopp finds someone younger and with more pace.

Most of us felt that way from about 1/2 through last season... and a lot of these things that are coming about, really started AFTER our title run season... So, from the start? That would have just been merely guesses (or wishful thinking)... No one could have predicted what Rodgers would have done given the budget and resources he has had at LFC, because there was really no precedent... sorry...
As for Klopp, sure I'd like him and he would be my first choice... but I don't think he's the only choice either...
I'm not going to pretend and know how our current roster would fare under Klopp, though I tend to agree with you assessment of our CBs, with the exception of Sakho... He may even be willing to try Ilori and Gomez.. But our current starting CB pair are not good enough, no matter who is the manager
I also disagree very much so about Hendo. I think he has a place on any LFC team.
In a 4231... Milner should be playing on the right and not as a CM... I think he and Clyne would bring great balance on that side of the field
As for who he'd bring in... Again, at LFC he's have a bigger budget and he's typically worked with a DoF (which we don't have) who has done a lot of the player procurement... I agree he did bring through youth and their scouts, scouted the lower leagues... but when they got the Gotze/Sahin money, etc... they started going after players that many teams were scouting... PAE, Reus, Immobile, Ramos, the greek defender, and they even beat us out for Mykitaryhan (SP?)

He didn't really have to scout Reus. Once he start performing it was a given he was going back to Dortmund.

Most non Liverpool fans knew he was in over his head from the start, and then it was just confirmed once Suarez left.

Actually, a lot of people praised his work his first three seasons... And obviously, given his previous coaching record, we went out on a limb bringing him... he wasn't a proven manager, so to speak... so to think he may be over his head, I can safely say that everyone (including LFC fans) questioned that...
It wasn't like there was some resounding consensus from our supporters to land him... there was plenty of doubt to go around, when he was being considered and after he was hired..

Given our injuries and that many players need a rest for the league, I kind of like that lineup and formation...

We 100% lose.
Rodgers sucks worse on the continent than in England.

I think so too. And to make matters worse, we could be responsible for England losing its 4th CL spot.

Did you see the results from our brethren in the UCL this week? dreadful and could possibly shoulder the blame..
I'd like to see us go after it in Europa... May be our best chance for UCL... Rodgers management aside...
