I gotta think it's his heel(Hendo). I didn't ever think he would be a world class player, but in the past couple of seasons, he has proven to be a very good, all-around midfielder..
I hope he plays himself out of the funk... gets some rest and comes back strong next year (though he'll prob be picked for the euros).
He def isn't good enough for his job to be safe, pending summer moves..

That said, I can't think of any one player who I'd say there position is safe..
Maybe Firmino, Coutinho and Studge (if he stays healthy)...
But I think Klopp will try and target players to push even those guys, to keep their place...

On Flanno - I don't think he'll ever be starting XI quality game in and game out.
But he's great as back-up that can cover for both the LB and RB. He'll play 20 (more if there are injuries) or so games a year, do his job, put his all into it, and the fans will love him.
I agree that he gets beaten too often - he was never that quick to begin with, but I don't think the quickness he did have has come back yet either. It may not ever come back. I think he's still rusty - really hasn't played for that long after a year and a half out. So I don't want to rush to any judgements. But the player he was a year and a half ago - I would take that in a heart beat as the back-up in rotation.

Definitely.. I guess I wouldn't be disappointed if he remained a squad player. Being scouse does count for something, like it or not...
I was just never that enamored with him in 13/14... I mean he played his heart out, but was part of a defense that hemorrhaged goals that season...

Agreed.
He's not starting XI quality but he's a solid rotational player that at least doesn't make HUGE mistakes.
He'll get beat but he makes up for it with effort and savy.
I trust the boss with whatever he wants to do with Flanno going forward. Honestly amazing he's made it this far, that's a dream come true for most kids like him. The ultimate dream.

So apparently the ref for todays game has given 6 reds and 63 yellows in his last 10 games....ooh boy.

Yeah, I am going to have to avoid this site until I can get home to my recording and be outraged at the calls about 4-5 hours after the rest of the world.

Looks like we're going with a 4-2-3-1 today with cou, bob, and lallana, behind Danny boy

As much shite I have given Alberto this season, he did an excellent job on Memphis today. He actually caught him from behind a few times.

That was decisive as hell. We are playing so much better right now.

We played 90 minutes of German football

Two things from this match, obviously keeping in mind we dominated them...
1- DeGea is RETARDED GOOD!
2- HOW DID HENDO MISS THAT WALK UP SHOT?!

I thought Cou's miss was worse.

The second leg could really play into our hands if we play smart. LVG is going be under even more pressure, and United are going to have to come at us, and come at us hard. If we can counter effectively, this could be a 4 or 5 nil aggregate.

Would be really nice to have an extra goal or two from one of those chances, but we looked very good all around.
