Agreed, I want the "Chilean Pit Bull".

Medel has always reminded me of a poor man's Mascherano... I'd have him and we wouldn't have to break the bank either...

OH MAN I AM SO HARD RIGHT NOW

Some rumblings out there on twitter saying Roma are trying to buy Moreno from us and there might be an 8 million release clause in his contract (which is hard to believe, if true)
I mean yea he's struggled occasionally, but hopefully this isn't true especially at that price

I find the release clause hard to believe, but I would hate to lose him... He's still young with a lot of upside..
If we did, we'd have to go out and find a #1 LB

Completely agree. I can't see Ayre allowing a release clause for so little. If he was English he'd be worth around 25 million

considering we paid £12, yeah... that's a bunch of BS...

Losing Moreno is not an option, and I'm with you guys there is no way that's the release clause. He has a ton of potential and he seems to have a great attitude and looks like he has a hell of a time playing here.

Ive read this morning that Roma wants him and we are willing to let him go for £10, but they want to offer £8 (no mention of release clause)... Don't know if any of this is true, mind you...
If we sell him, LB becomes an immediate priority and must..
IF that happened, I wonder if we could get Coentrao off Madrid on the cheap?

I have a pocket full of "nopes" on this subject. frick that. Unless we already have a major upgrade at LB lined up already, as well as a depth signing, to hell with that idea.

I would think we would only sell him if we already are virtually guaranteed another LB to come in and replace him. It wouldn't kill me to see him go if there was a replacement. I just don't see him as our cornerstone LB like Clyne is at RB.

same here... he's a solid option for the here and now, but i'm just not sold on the dude long term...
problem is we don't have a better option, right now, on the roster, and i'm not sure who we could afford to bring in, if he does leave...

He's young and probably needed a season to adjust to the EPL... I'll personally give him another year before passing judgement, cause I think he has the potential to be a Jordi Alba type... Defending will never be his strongest attribute..

I won't believe it till I see a lean, and watch where your leaning at Melwood. What looks like a glass case could be our best striker.

Seriously though, I am cautiously optimistic about our transfer dealing this year.

Really? I'm absolutely jacked. I think the club has blown it out of the water this summer. We have a very strong group in all of the positions we needed.
