I think there is a chance you might see him. I read somewhere that they dont expect the WC players to be ready for the first pre season game but they will be available for the second game (Chicago) Ill be there as well. First timer.

Has the LFC Chicago Supporters club announced any meeting plans.. pre-game, etc?

I have been too busy to pay attention so far, but will try to over the weekend..

Coutinho, by a mile, was the best player on the pitch... surprise, surprise!

How Scolari didnt include him at the WC, over some of those MFers, is beyond me... He brings something those others lack..

all outfield players replaced at half (just Brad jones remain)...

Ibe goes almost the length of the field and sets up Kris Petersen in the 48th... 1-1

Coutinho isn't nearly as good at assault.

Tried following with a play by play. Seemed look Coutinho and Ibe looked good, but other than that, most (especially defense) were pretty shite.

Anyone else who watched can give a recap?

game was pretty boring but some of your young guys looked decent but the game winner was just atrocious play in the back. Stabbing at the ball like 12 year olds.

Was getting ready to leave for a meeting and missed the last goal... Thought it would just draw...

That's about right... I wouldn't say shite, but nothing spectacular... About what you'd expect from the first pre-season match, with these players...

Admittedly, I didn't watch the 2nd half as close as the first...

Liverpool are set to trigger Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan's £32m release-clause and bring him to Anfield.

I would feel underwhelmed by spending that much for him. Good player, but for his position, he needs to be responsible for more goals (goals and assists) for that kind of money.

He isn't worth that much... He is a very good player, but doesn't offer enough goals/assists to justify that kinda coin., nor does he offer the upside... He's basically the finished article...

We'll be linked to him until he retires...

Skrtel sporting a tan. Adorjan with the new sweet streak in his head. Brad Jones's hair looking as flawless as ever. We look to be in midseason form

Ibe and Cou ran shop. The rest were lol. Suso had his moments. The back line looked like they didn't care at all and seemed really tired for the last 15 minutes.

Alright, since this is the transfer season in full swing I'll start this morning with more of my favorite headache. Multiple sources (reliability unknown) report that we have ironed out the Aspas issue and that 20 million will do it for Moreno. It is also said that Moreno is BR's top target at this point and that Aspas is considered a separate issue not related to Moreno. I just hope we can seal this thing, as I have said before I think this guy is key to a successful transfer window for us. I also think not being able to swoop in with Davies at 8, with Spurs pushing that number to at least 10, has made us re think the 20 for Moreno. We have to get left back help with this money but I have faith that we get one and I think it might finally be Moreno.
