Wasted way too many chances. Howard made a few nice or lucky saves. Balo has got to start putting some more away.

We definitely looked better all around. I want to see more runs trying to get behind the 2 CBs and better balls played through. That's where we start wrecking havoc.

Really can't wait till Studge gets back.

Besides The Lane this is the first time all year I can see we are getting closer. Balo has to finish but I think when Stu comes back we will see the floodgates open. If we keep improving we're going to be fine.......but damn this point hurts.

Yeah our work rate was good. We still lacked a lot of clinical finishing which will hopefully be smoothed out. Lallana's work rate was top notch which was great to see. He still needs to find his touch passing though. Towards the end his final balls were pretty poor.

All in all, we looked much better than previous weeks. We need to use this as a spring board. Mignolet still scares me every match.

As I said before the match, the primary issue is gelling. The back line looked terrific, midfield dominated, we just can't finish. Studge will help with that more than any of us can realize. We 100% deserved the win, but Jags hit an absolute fluke of a goal. It happens. The improvement is obvious though.

had to record it and just finished watching... what a heart breaker! But that was a once in a lifetime goal from Jagielka... We definitely looked much better all over the pitch...

By far lallanas best game. Hope he continues to offer that type of performance. I thought our pressing was much much better than anything we have seen this year. Can wait for sturridge to be back as we need him.

How much should we be paying attention to these benzema rumors?

It's very frustrating to me today to have us dominate a game and give up that late goal. We have to get better putting away our chances.

Can't help but think if can or Allen were healthy that they may have been in the game late and had the positioning and energy to be out at the top of the 18 for that ball that jag hit. No one was near him and that was part of the problem. Zero defensive subs for us.

I think lazar needs to go back to sub status until he works out the kinks. He'll be more effective against a tired defense.

Yes, it's on Fox Sports 2. Cox doesn't carry it with the package in BR though

Since when does BR not carry Fox Sports 2? I've definitely watched games on that channel, its just not an HD channel

Just read that an English team hasn't won in Basel in 12 matches. Hoping for a good result today!

It's a notoriously difficult place to play.

Who will Rodgers rest?

Sterling played 120 and then 90 within the last week. Same with Lallana. Not sure offhand about anyone else. I have to think Cou takes one of their spots to start today.

Gerrard probably shouldn't play three 90' games in a week but is this the one he sits - or will BR take him off at 60?

A win would be huge, but I think a draw would be pretty optimistic as well

I'm kind of torn on what I think - I think we're definitely depleted injury wise. But we also just came off a great performance that ended with a letdown. I think our guys build off of what they are doing. My only question remains, without Sturridge, can we score enough goals?
