It's being reported that we signed Atletico's RB Javier Manquillo on a 2 year loan with an option to buy. Anyone know anything about him? He's the guy that appeared to have broken his neck playing against Real.

I've read that he is stronger defensively and needs to improve going forward, but I really haven't see him play...

From James Pearce

Rodgers said that Borini is still considering move to Sunderland and the striker will feature against his old club Roma on Wed night. #LFC
I'm fine with that. Let him fight and show what he's got in preseason to see where he stands. If he's sitting as our 4th striker with prolly not much game time, politely let him know so he can make a decision for his future.

There is a chilean paper, El Mercurio, that says Vidal is open for a move to one of three clubs... Real Madrid, ManUre and LFC...

He just turned 27, is he worth the fee and high wages (basically Luis' age and wages) for a CM? I think yes, as he can be just as influential from the middle of the pitch as Suarez was in the final third..

Not sure how that would impact our other signings, but he's a difference maker...

Odds are very slim, given the constant big appeal of Real Madrid and the desperation of ManUre in this transfer window (prob willing/able to pay more and offer more wages)...

Also, I hope the Manquillo deal come through... if it is two years with a buy out option of £6mm... that sounds good.

We can integrate him in slowly this season, while GJ plays out the last year of his contract and then hopefully, he proves himself good enough in the next... IMO, Flanno is not good enough for the starting XI of a team that hopes to continue to play for a top 4/UCL berth every year..

Also, I have zero faith in Martin Kelly to become a starting RB... Wisdom is a possibility, though he can always move to CB..

Completely agree. If we can pull Moreno, Lovren, and Manquillo, it would satisfy me. Glen should be hungry for a new contract (somewhere else) so hopefully he will perform better than he has the last couple of seasons.

I think both Flanno, and Kelly will be gone in 2015.

Can't wait!!

Looks like Remy has passed his physical in Boston. Just need to see a photo of him leaning on something.

Hope the weather holds. Forecast showers/t-storms for the Boston area around 8-9 p.m.

For those that missed it, here's an interview with Tony Evans that talks a lot about where our transfer window is going. He's a pretty respected journalist with particular contacts at LFC.

Good read; it confirms most of the rumors we have been reading of late.

Gotta love our £14M rated 4th choice striker leaving a friendly with a shoulder injury. LOVE IT.
