Well, if its even a real competition, then we need to just go ahead and start over.
Migs isn't good enough. Not close. We've seen enough to know that for a fact.
If Karius isn't going to be much better, then we should just restart again pretty much at the next opportunity.

Y'all should just recall Ward

I know it's Boro, but this has been much better today, a lot more incisive and direct.
Also, any doubt that Mane is our best signing from this summer? Great decision to bring him in

Lallana was a one man wrecking crew. Appears Wijnaldum had a great game as well.

Hopefully, I can find a way to see a replay..
Credit to Klopp for finding a new role for Lallana to excel in.. Credit to Lallana for embracing that role and taking his game up... finally providing end product!!!

Also, result today pushes us back up to 2nd place (6 pts back of Chelsea)... I know a title run isn't likely, but I do like being in this part of the table compared to where we have been lately

if we stop giving up points, a title is absolutely possible... we were 1st in the table not all that long ago THIS year... but we have to finish games when we are up by 3 goals, not give up equalizers or end up losing those... we have to actually beat the bottom of the table teams, not draw or lose to them... that's been our Achilles' heel the last 5 or 6 years now... we drop easy points way too often...

They have one of the best defenses in the league.

I hope you're right, but I won't get my hopes up yet, and would be thrilled with a top 4 finish (Klopp with a UCL schedule and money? Yes please).
Regardless of how this winds up, this has easily been one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in recent history

I guessed correctly and DVRed the correct game.
Obviously 3-0 was pretty good. You'd take that any day of the week. But for much of the match, the game-play seemed closer. Perhaps that's just an away match for you. We had more possession, but at lot of times didn't seem to do much with it. They put us under pressure at times - especially right after our first goal we couldn't seem to hold onto the ball ( I think we had 35% possession for the ten minutes after the goal according to a stat on the screen?)
Overall - Migs played pretty well. Made one good save - but it was a save I would expect a good GK to make. He wasn't a liability though and that's a plus.
Klavan isn't perfect, but he may be a perfect 3/4 CB - seemingly doesn't complain about PT. Steps right in when needed, etc. If only he was able to play both sides...
Lallana was excellent - lots of runs into space and movment. He's clearly been put in a position that he can exel in.
Firmino - clearly the move to the left has been determental to his scoring . His movement is still excellent though and he does a lot of little things. But you just wish he was able to put more end product together.
Origi - 5 straight games with a goal. And an assist yesterday. It seems to me though that he still drifts in and out and a lot of times just isn't on the same page as others - late picking up the thought process. He always seems to miss a good chance too. If he can put that together fully though he'll be incredible.
Mane - seemed a bit more like his old self. Dangerous and aggressive. He's had a few games lately where he seemed a bit off.
Wij - he does a lot of neat quick interplay passes with other players where the end result is he or the other player moving forward in space with the ball. I saw it twice that I can remember yesterday.

I thought the movement of the front 3 in the second half was the best it's been since Coutinho got injured.
Yay clean sheet!
even if it was just Boro

I thought so for the first half. That first half was arguably our worst of the year. The second was arguably our best. I haven't seen us dominate a half like that in a long, long time.

I just watched it again and agree about the second half. Very dangerous and fluid as hell.

Glad to see Studge on the bench. We need attacking depth.

How quick was Mane to react and get on the end of that ball?
Good to see Studge making a difference...
Was worried Lukaku might abuse our back line.. He was held in check for the most part...
Barkley was a little twat that whole match.. glad Hendo is okay!

Yep, defense was good keeping Lukaku in check.
Mane was brilliant to get to that, and I hope today gives Studge some confidence moving forward.
Barkley should have been off, but I'll take the 3 pts and really am glad Hendo is okay
