I would still have started Lallana and, if he still couldnt play 90, then sub him early.
We should have been on the front foot from minute 1 trying to break down and break through their "wall". Get a goal early and they can't sit back in a "wall" for 90.
Except we chose to pass sideways and backwards and hardly ever bothered their "wall".
Except after Studge and Lallana came in, the "wall" wobbled a tiny bit. Imagine that.
If Arsenal doesn't do us a huge favor today, I doubt our summer signings will be top players eager to play in the Europa League.

I really hope we see Studge and Lallana start the remaining matches...
Origi is a good player, but he's not a difference maker... A club wanting to compete for the title and in Europe need a difference maker up top...
our biggest need is a partner for Matip, but a starting quality #9 is just as important... 1a and 1b..

Just a brutal result. Man U has 12 potential points left on the board, and City has 9. Liverpool has 6. The math isn't looking great for the good guys.

So far so good at the Emirates.

Liverpool's last 3 EPL results at Anfield have been 2 draws and a loss (2 pts of a possible 9 against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Southampton).
Liverpool's results at Anfield in all competitions in 2017 is 4-4-4.

That's frustrating. We were great at home until Swansea around Christmas. Since then, we've been shite.
And of course, this was the first penalty Milner's missed in 7+ years, and the first one Forster's saved all year.
Such a frustrating team to watch

Yeah, if Klopp wants to wonder why the Anfield crowd has been so subdued of late, its because he keeps rolling out shite on the home pitch.

gotta assume they won't be getting three points today...

If ManU want to match us loss for loss and draw for draw until seasons end, I'm OK with that.

Even better than Man U dropping more points than we did this week is Jose's post-match interview... Felt like I was listening to the EPL's version of Les Miles with the bullshite he was spouting off.
Let's just get these next two and make our way back in to the CL

We need to be more concerned than just United. If we draw one of our next two Arsenal can win out and pass us.

We need to win these next 2 for God's sake. Let's hope Klopp starts Lallana and Stu these last 2.

this is a joke....
to think Sturridge, after not playing in so long, will of a sudden give us something we are lacking, especially when he's lazy when he's unmotivated, which he would be, is lunacy...
i don't like starting Origi as much as the next guy, as he creates chances the exact same amount that i do sitting on my couch, but i honestly don't think Sturridge is the answer... play Firminio up high, bring on Lallana and keep in Cou.... either Wij or Can to the bench... Can is playing a little better right now, so i'd have Lallana on for Wij...
ManU looks to be pretty much stuck gunning for 4th, Arsenal doesn't really look like a threat, and we need Leicester to come thru for us in a big way next weekend... if the latter happens, we are in good shape... take care of the Hammers, and then by then, Middlesborough will know if they are going to be relegated or not... i could see them coming out deflated, but i could also see them coming out with a "last hurrah" sort of energy.... could go either way....

He's created about 4 clear chances in less than 30 minutes played the last 2 weeks.

If Studge can create 4 chances in 30 minutes being lazy and unmotivated and Origi does zip zilch nade in about 7 weeks of starting full time, I think I'll take my chances with Studge.

I'm good with Bobby up too but I do think Sturridge needs to come on since he actually looks to put the ball into the back of the net. If he doesn't start, which I get, he needs a decent amount of time to create chances which he has done recently.

He does it every single time he plays...
I'd probably play him in Mane's role... a bit more narrow.. I hate Firmino out wide..
I wouldn't drop Can or Gini for Lallana... drop Lucas instead...

Dodged a bullet today. Still in control of our destiny and in good shape if we can win at West Ham. A draw against either Boro or West Ham could even work given our GD versus United/Arsenal.
