Must keep lukaku
I'll survive if he brings in huge money (55+) but I don't see it at the moment.

Supposedly we are signing Stekelenburg

If we can get big money for him then best for him to move on. Hopefully he scores a few more goals this Euro and adds to that transfer fees

Besic plotting his 2016-17 hit list.

Witsel in? Him and Besic could boss that midfield around.

Lukaku signing a new deal to remain at Everton
Also seen rumors that Stones wants to stay after meeting the new boss.

Mata would be amazing.
Don't know how good Witsel is but a good DM would go a long way to shoring things up defensively, the back line needs coaching and organization but the talent is there, however in the midfield Barry is past his prime (though he has been good for us) and McCarthy, Besic, et al have got to raise their level

Yet he was still our best player last year. I think he may have a year or two left in the tank. Besic needs to stay healthy and McCarthey needs to improve. He was pretty forgettable last year

I would argue Lukaku was our best player, but that's besides the point because Barry was one of our better performers. However, Barry being one of your best players at this point in his career probably means you aren't challenging for top 4.

Barry was clutch and in the right places at the right moments in the way good players at the end of their careers often are.
McCarthy was largely unnoticeable last season. I think Barry has more to offer, but I agree we need to be transitioning away from him.

Everton Football Club will be participating in the 2016/17 EFL Trophy, it has been confirmed.
The Blues are one of 16 additional teams which have responded to an invitation to play in the newly-revamped competition, formerly known as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
They will join the 48 League One and League Two sides in the 64-club tournament.
Everton and all of the invited clubs must ensure that at least six of their starting 11 are under the age of 21 as of June 30 this year, meaning the matchday squads will primarily consist of players taken from the development group.
Everton are being joined in the EFL Trophy by fellow Premier League clubs including, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Leicester City and Liverpool.
The competition will initially feature 16 groups consisting of four clubs - one will be an invited club, plus at least one club from both League One and League Two.
Everton will play the other three clubs in the group once, with one of the home matches taking place at Goodison Park.
The teams that finish in the top two positions in each group will then progress to the knockout stage, beginning with a last-32 round.
The final of the competition will continue to be played at Wembley Stadium, this forthcoming season taking place on Sunday 2 April, 2017.
