I don't want it to go home, I don't want to hear about it going home, and I certainly don't want to hear about how it's home for the next four years

You do realize Japan has qualified for ever WC since 2002 and Denmark had made three of the last six

England never wins shite and didn't even make it out the group last WC.

Fine. Rooting for Big names is for dweebs. Nobody associates soccer with Denmark or Japan.

Point still stands

England are the Cubs pre-ws win. "Lovable losers" with a fan base filled with frat boys that try too hard

Japan has been the dominate force in Asia for almost a generation

and Denmark has been one of the best European teams this current cycle.

and even won the euros in 92

Japan is a great choice as well - amazing people who honor their culture and their nation state. Always heartily enjoy me time there.

2nd best should be France. They have maximum possibilities and abilities to win the WC.

The only going home I want to hear about is when they go home after penalty kicks as usual

Root for Uruguay.

Total team package.

Finished 2nd to Brazil in qualifying.

They can score over the top or on set pieces.

Striker Suarez is certifiable.
This is 3rd wc go for current stars keeper muslera, defender Godin, Suarez.

I am psyched to see if/how they deal with Ronaldo.

The Uruguay u20 finished 4th in world most recently.
Reloading.
Same population as sf bay area.

It actually wouldn't be like that (I think, I haven't been to England in a few years).

When England score a major victory, sober people are just suddenly nice to each other in public in major cities. Which is typically unheard of. People just go out and kick the ball around, just talk to each other on the bus or tube (again this is normally a huge faux pas). It's more a sense of confusion and shock that reigns than anything else, nobody knows how to deal with it, being so used to the horrific post hype meltdown and autopsy that it's become routine.

My Argentina is done and I actually had France in the Final before this tournament started. I'll cheer for them.
