if the streaming matches are only available live, and there isn't a replay feature like with watchespn, they won't get my money.
This will be my approach as well. There are just too many things that make it difficult to watch the EPL live. If I won't have the option to sit down at my leisure and watch after spending $50,then it certainly is not worth it.

This is the biggest issue for me with all football viewing.
I have a record shop and often work there on Saturdays and/or Sundays. If I don't I'm usually doing things like taking my girlfriend to brunch, have friends visiting for the weekend etc etc etc.
I get the feeling that there are lot of people like me who are too busy to watch the games early Saturday.
It's frustrating that almost all the "improved" coverage seems to ignore people who get cable quite specifically because of DVR or find streaming almost useless without replay options.

50 for like 6 months of EPL action is like $8/month, and still cheaper than whatever bullshite cable package you have.
I selected my TV package with one of the primary caveats being that it included NBCSN and app access to watch all the matches. I was paying for it. Now they want me to pay more for it. frick them.
My wife will definitely be happy that I won't be spending nearly every weekend watching matches.

We also haven't brought up midweek games. I know most of these are 1 off games on Mondays or rescheduled games, but there are probably 5 or so weeks during the season where the majority of teams play on a Wednesday. If you can only watch the games live, that doesn't leave much of an option for people at work.
Having said all this, are we sure there won't be a replay option in the Gold option? I remember reading in the article a couple of days ago that NBCSN would not have an archive, but did it mention Gold as well?

Honestly if people are going to pay $50 for this service id rather just subscribe to an IPTV service for like $5-$7 a month.
You get all EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga matches that are on in England or the US. PPV fights, NFL, NHL, NBA etc.
ESPN, FOX, Sky Sports, BT Sports, Bein etc.

Doesn't England have a rule where games are blacked out at 3 oclock to encourage fans to attend games? Let's say a 3pm game is only on in the US on this Gold crap, would it not be on in England either? Seems like a cool workaround, but I was just wondering about this specific scenario.

Don't get me wrong, I wish things were left the way they were where you could watch the games on the alternate channels and online.
But what other sport besides soccer gave us access to EVERY SINGLE GAME with just our standard cable subscription? NBA League Pass, MLB Extra Innings, NFL Sunday Ticket ... all of those are premium packages.
My only question is: Is the new PL Pass gonna stream EVERY game NOT on NBC, NBCSports, USA, MSNBC, etc.? I have PS Vue with all of those channels ... so if I get the PL Pass would that give me access to every game?

Yes and the rule is stupid as shite. People just stream their clubs matches on at 3pm. I used my parents NBC log in with a vpn to do it.
