I've never made a post about hating him or even about him never getting back to form. I've pulled for him the entire season. He had been pretty bad, but his form has improved significantly

The announcers pointed that out... I think... I was yelling and couldn't really hear what they said.

and the foul before Meireles got booked. he got hammered (it was a yellow card, but play rolled on, the ball rolled to whomever Meireles fouled).

The narrative of Torres's goal is annoying. How exactly is it redemption or worth £50mil that he scored a goal (which was meaningless) where he was 1v1 with the keeper at midfield?

It's premature to validate how much of his price tag he fulfilled in one moment(far from all of it), but if they end up winning it all, in the causal chain of things, that goal will obviously prove to be penultimately critical.

I'm weirdly happy for him.

There was still 2 mins left.

Did you watch the game in 09.

Same exact situation.

It's 2012. Different games. History doesn't repeat itself. I'll will concede it had value as the nail in the coffin, but anyone could have scored that goal. Ramires's goal and their D should be the story. Not Torres.
