A little surprised to see this to be honest. I’m intrigued to see if this has anything to do with the Super League

José Mourinho sacking is not linked to Super League... and he’s never refused to take training today. He’s been fired because of results and no nothing else.

I figured they would at least give him until the Carabao Cup final this weekend.

Guess Levy is relying on the new manager bump to beat Pep.

Daaaamn! Respect to Jose for taking a stand if that is true.

This shitshow is just getting started. May have to move from classic popcorn to toffee for all this.

Exactly....which is why I don’t buy that the European Super League announcement had nothing to do with Jose’s sacking.

Yeah it seems pretty odd.

Poch needed to go as well.
His last months were somehow even worse than this.

I am a relatively new fan but Spurs seem like they just don't know what they want. I was a Poch fan and thought his sacking was early. Until I head Jose was next. They must have another big name rtg if they just let Jose walk.
Also, his season on Amazon made me really like him better than before (I am a City fan so take that fwiw). Thats how I found the game...The Amazon Manchester City All or Nothing.
Jose will go back to TV until another huge job is available.

Spurs have historically gone from a defensive/pragmatic manager to an attacking/expansive one, and vice-versa.

As for the next manager, I'm not so sure. Julian Nagelsmann is probably the favorite, but I wouldn't be so sure. Eddie Howe may get a shout as well.

Poch's last 12 months were absolutely horrible. Way worse than the current state of Spurs. You can argue that he deserved a chance to rebuild the squad and the board never gave him the chance to do it, but that's another argument entirely.

ETA: For what it's worth, I actually enjoyed Mourinho. The guy is charismatic as hell. Plus, Spurs were actually playing quite well, he just couldn't sort the defense out/protect a lead whatsoever (Spurs have the most dropped points from winning positions, 20pts.)
