MLS setting attendance records, will it continue?

Soccer right now is the "it" sport for millions of youth kids nation wide and it seems that MLS teams are benefiting. Maybe the US is just finally starting to appreciate soccer, maybe immigration? However, will the numbers continue to rise over the next 5 years in your opinion?
Now as many know I am just getting into soccer and started watching Arsenal and I plan on making my first MLS game later this month. How good is the MLS?

I think so. Minnesota will have great crowds and if St Louis gets a team they could be sold out with season ticket holders.

I like the fact on most nights MLS is not competing with other major sports.... Seems they plan their games around other games and tickets are still cheap enough for everyone to attend.

Exactly. Helps with getting on TV as well. Better exposure is key. MLS has improved a lot since the 2010 World Cup.

Baseball honestly needs to do the same during NBA playoffs/NFL games instead of going head to head with them.... it hurts ratings....
I have yet to watch an MLS game this year, I've kept with with my premier league through watching NBS early in the morning (6:30am Saturday and Sunday) so that has helped keep me somewhat informed.

Can only see it continue. This has been the biggest year for the league in terms of tv contracts and foreign players coming. MLS teams have some legit youth academies now so that should increase level of play as well.

I think it will. MLS is almost becoming like a movie that gains cult status by word of mouth. People who never really followed the sport are going and are getting into it.
I've invited several friends and co-workers to Fire games over the last several years and they all had a blast. Most of them had never seen a match live before and a few of them now call me to see if I want to go.

Many things to criticize the MLS about, but their business model is well orchestrated.
Bring in big city expansion teams (NY, LA) and dictate where the incoming, big name Euro players sign. And then add 3-4 smaller city clubs who have had 7-10 years to develop a hardcore fanbase and they've got themselves a continuously growing market.
It doesn't hurt that this country has a shite ton of large stadiums to help jump start the newer clubs either.

There was alot of buzz coming into the season with the TV deal and strike drama, plus the new clubs. Will be interesting to see if the attendance figures hold throughout the year.

Getting rid of Chivas USA, San Jose moving into a bigger stadium (they were constantly selling out the old 11k capacity one), and bringing in Orlando City and NYCFC (expansion clubs in markets with big ownership groups and excited fans) means that the average will likely be over 20k this year for the first time ever.
