IMO if I'm Pep I shake Porter's hand and tell him great game.....i then beeline Alonso and Johnson and slap the shite out of them. Alonso was wreckless and no reason for Johnson to even challenge Schweinsteiger there. I mean Munich wasn't even doing anything but holding for the whistle. No reason to go at all there much less that hard and late.

ETA Pep not shaking Porter's hand was just as much of a bitch move or more than the challenges.

Pep was embarrassing. I want to root for a team like Bayern, but when I see a coach behave like that I'm good.

Now I was equally embarrassed by Caleb porter looking like a whipped dog on the sideline when pep was yelling at him. I realize there isn't much to do in porters place but come on.

Said something along the lines of "Ugh, just want to congratulate the MLS on their victory. I'm sure they'll invite us back next year for our revenge, so now I know how they do things. I need to prepare better."

Kinda seemed like he was playing the, "oh, we were playing for real? Didn't realize we were playing for real" card after getting aced on the first serve of a pick-up tennis match.

Yeah, I knew Porter looked up to him. Went to Barcelona when he was there and everything. Probably was super excited to coach against him but it went horribly wrong.

I think what he said was "I didn't go shake hands because I didn't see a coach over there"

Meaning he's still mad at Caleb.

Just say you were heated about some bad challenges, you moron.

Caleb Porter is going to call of Jose Mourinho tomorrow and embrace the dark side.

I thought the same thing.

Pep is a tiki-taka version of Mourinho at this point.

Brilliant manager, douche of a person.

I haven't really seen him have an outburst like that. Seems like he goes out of his way to compliment everyone. He is ultra competitive though which could lead to him being a dick.

Henry was just talking to Guardiola about the incident, with some Chinese takeout in his hand.

Yeah, there's no doubt about it. It was obvious that they were waiting for the game to wind down to give the superstars their hero moment. It's funny that he's talking about next year, though. He knows damn well Bayern higher ups don't care about the result and care everything about picking up the American fans. I can't imagine they'd be very happy about the whole situation. They'll be back, and Pep will go overboard to make up for it.

How awkward must it be for Julian Green around Pep right now?

One bad night does not make him a douche. Pep has always been class before tonight.

Meh, it's not like Green knows Porter, Johnson or Ozzie.

This is one of the reasons soccer struggles to take hold in the USA. As a sports fan, why the hell even play the game if you can't play? It's not a game then and don't market it as one and don't charge fans to watch it. I know I wouldn't pay to watch Mizzou play LSU in a game of touch football. Really comes across as a bunch of pussies to the average sports fan. I won't even touch the fact that the dude was barely touched. As for the coach...he's a douche and wouldn't want him anywhere near the USMNT no matter how good he is.

I like that a Cuban and a Canadian piss him off and he takes it out on an American.
